Azzy , i removed and reinstalled my ro after failure to patch properly, later tried to patch the server and i am still getting the Failed to write file PatchClient\Thumbs.db .

Delete that file; it is a hidden file marked as a system file inside the PatchClient folder in your RO folder.
The GM's left it in one of the patches they send out (because they just zipped up a folder and included it in the patch, without removing the thumbs.db file, which windows automatically generates in any folder with image files, to store information on image thumbnails - but it's a protected file, so the patcher gets an error when trying to replace the one that your computer already generated in that folder)

I don't know what to do if you get the error on startup. That's the error that used to be fixable by using an old executable. But now the old one doesn't work.
