Ragnarok Stops Working after Patching

I'm not completely sure what causes this but will list a few things:
I always patch as admin Ragnarok, Sakray, and Classic in that order.
If that doesn't work I would uninstall the game and reinstall and patch as admin.

Try the compatibility modes too.
It's unfortunately difficult to debug when all you get is the idiot-mode message from windows (I particularly hate that one, because when someone says it "stopped working", you don't know if they mean they got that error message, or it just stopped working with some other symptom).
