This is the general information that i dug up in relation to gears tools and skills for Kagerou and Oboro classes... i do not have any clue myself as to how the skills are effected by gear or stats so please chime in with any updated info you have...

so what will be better for PvP and woe? kagerou or oboro?


it seems that kagerou will be more effective against some enemies like RG and GX while Oboro will be better against healer and magic classes... Kagerou with its ability to trap hidden players and remove reflect skills and oboro with their ability to reverse the effects of healing skills and magic dispersion skill

yes... im not sure how powerful this attack really is... seems to me that itwouldbe better to use the talismans to cast zenkai since its AoE.. but i could be wrong... it will require more digging to find how much damage Kaihou does per talisman..

Im picturing in my head it being like a ninja - tetra vortex. With a +12 Zaku RWC dagger + 2x spell 4/5 bazerald and Izayoi I can see oboro really looking viable.

its not limited to just oboro...if you look the magical boosting skills are for both kagerou and oboro...

Zangetsu Oboro Exclusive
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Genwaku Level 1
Description:
Changes target's ATK or MATK based on target's current HP and SP.

If that can work favorably for matk Oboro would be better suited. (waiting for testing)

Plus if you use the skill that makes the target splash AoE damage a ninja TV like that could do substantial damage to a set up defense

from what i understand zangetsu works something like if the HP is even number atk goes up if odd numbered it goes down same with sp... not sure if you can self target with this skill either...

You're probably right. I'm thinking it might work a bit like that one skill in Chrono Trigger where it's actually based off the last digit of your HP.

Kyougaku
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Genwaku Level 2
Description: Reduces a target's stats and forcibly changes target's appearance to a monster. Target under the effect of Kyougaku will be unable to un-equip or switch equipments for the duration of the skill. This skill cannot be used on friendly targets. This skill can only be used in Siege maps.
Level 1: - 2~3 All stat
Level 2: - 4~6 All stat
Level 3: - 6~9 All stat
Level 4: - 8~12 All stat
Level 5: - 10~15 All stat

Happo Kunai
Max Level: 5
Pre-req: Bakuretsu Level 1
Description: Throws multiple kunais in all directions, dealing damage to all targets in range. Consumes 8 equipped Kunais.

Level 3: 9x9 AoE
Level 4: 9x9 AoE
Level 5: 11x11 AoE

Level 1: 10,000 Zeny / 5,000 ~ 10,000 Random Damage
Level 2: 20,000 Zeny / 10,000 ~ 20,000 Random Damage
Level 3: 30,000 Zeny / 15,000 ~ 30,000 Random Damage
Level 4: 40,000 Zeny / 20,000 ~ 40,000 Random Damage

siege maps are like WoE and PvP... Happo Kunai radiates from the caster using the caster as the center of the AoE... Mucha Nage i believe has a cooldown and has the prerequisite of throw coin (which has its own list of prerequisites) plus its damage is reduced in WoE and vs Boss monsters it also is ground target and ranged so it can be blocked by skills like pneuma...

Question seems like u know this, for killing strike type which one is better 6% atk or 600 hp is better?

Question seems like u know this, for killing strike type which one is better 6% atk or 600 hp is better?

my guess would be HP... since KS is based more off HP than it is atk... with the exception of ranged attack modifiers ... but then again i suck at math and formulas and whatnot...

So whats going to be the leveling mode for ninjas with the update?
Magic is suppose to get buffed and kunai is supposed to get nerfed.

buffed and nerfed are not the best terms to use when talking about whats happening to ninja skills.... from what i understand the buff to magic has been cut back and kunai will just be getting scaled back from their current OPness... as long as kunai doesnt go back to prerenewal damage ill be ok with it... kunai will be dex based meaning all those no dex KS builds will have to reset their stats..

The main "buffs" for magic comes from the elemental spheres/talisman, each giving a 10% dmg boost to the respective element, up to a 100% boost (aka x2 dmg). While Izayoi only gives 25 matk (supposedly), it provides a VERY nice reduction in casting time.

Thanks for the replies, I've had my ninja since day one and I would really like to go back
to being a magic ninja, but even double damage of what ninjas can currently do with
their strongest magic spells is still rather pitiful. I'm just curious as to what new skills are
genuinely useful to level with.
