So i'm one of those people that just can't play a game in a window, especially not one so small, so ragnirok online is driving me crazy. But every time i open up setup.exe and change the resolution and check full screen, the next time i open the game it gives me 2 error messages and the game doesn't work, so i need to reinstall and try something again. Please help! thanks! I'm on windows 8 by the way.

On some systems the patcher doesn't properly release it's lock on data.grf, causing the client info error.

Workaround

make a shortcut that bypasses the patcher:

Rightclick ragexe.exe, choose "Create Shortcut"

Rename the shortcut to something descriptive, ex "Ragnarok - bypass patch"

Right click this shortcut, do properties, and at the end of the "target" line, add:
-1rag1

So it will look something like:
"C:\Other\Ragnarok Online Renewal\Ragexe.exe" -1rag1

Then, you can use this shortcut to start RO without patching and without the clientinfo error, and you can use the normal shortcut (after closing all open clients) to patch the game (though you may get the clientinfo error when trying to start the game after doing so, of course)

As for Win 8 and fullscreen - a number of people have reported that this doesn't work, I don't think this works for anyone.
