for example using 4 plankton cards in a comp bow. Does it increase the chance to inflict the sleep status by 20%? Some say yes others no.

This is considering I use a skill like arrow storm not just ranged dps. thank you

They do not stack directly, but get calculated each on their own. But basically it's 4 times a chance of 5% to get the effect, so they stack in some way.

they sure as hell seem to stack... either way the chance to get the status effect to take hold is greater than an individual card and yes they work off skills.... i use status effects on my kunai shadow slash and KS... doesnt work on magic tho...physical attacks only...

It should be this.

Lol,of course they stack,otherwise weapons such as triple freezing mailbreakers would be useless...

Well,at least,the secondary effect would be :p_laugh:

The difference is in how the calculation is done.

If you had 4x Marina Stacking, you would have a 20% chance to freeze someone. Programmatically, like this:
random = rnd.Next(100) // generates a random number between 0 and 100 [exclusive]
if (random < 20) // 0..19 is 20 numbers, thus 20% chance
  target will be frozen

But with 4x Marina acting independently, you get:
for each Marina Card
  random = rnd.Next(100)
  if (random < 5)
    target will be frozen
In this case you get 4 independent 5% chances to freeze someone. That is not 20%.

Some people may consider it 4 95% chances to not get frozen, compounded together (=81.4% chance to not be frozen, or 18.6% chance to be frozen), which may work in the theoretical land of every character having their own uniformly distributed, fair random number generator, but it doesn't work that way.
