Hi, the archer card set (cruiser, anolian, aligator, dragon fly, merman) is supposed to give "+20% Seeking attack (which never misses its target)". I do not get any such effect from the set. Although one could interpret this as increasing already present seeking attack by 20%, there is no way in game (correct me if Im wrong) of getting any seeking attack when using a bow. So this seems weird since the set is designed especially for archer class. Most probably it is supposed to add +20 seeking attack. DrAzzy said a while ago in another thread that I should bug report this.

I must mention that I use the set on a melee weapon and not a bow and not on an archer but this should not matter since the seeking attack bonus is among the general effects of the set that should apply to anyone and there is no specification that it only works with long range attacks or something like that. I havnt checked if it perhaps does work with bows but I doubt it. It would be great if this got a fix.

The card doesn't state that it should only activate through ranged attack. And there doesn't seems to be anyone else asking or saying if it works on melee and ranged attack.

How do you know that the seeking attack isn't working?

It doesn't have any special animation, as far as I know...

Unless that 'seeking attack' is 100%, there will always be a chance of missing an attack.

Well, it's only 20% chance, so you can still get lots of misses... Bear in mind that if you have 80% hit rate, and get 20% seeking attack chance, you'll still only hit 84% of the time, not 100%.

Best way to test would be to use on something you only hit at 5% chance - 5% vs 24% should be easy to tell the difference between.

Whoah, whoah so thats what seeking attack means? I thought it was the same thing as "seeking damage" from VVS weapons and what you (used to?) get from gunslinger coins, I remember when I was shooting mimics, there would always be atleast 30 damage. So the +20% could have been supposed to mean +20 seeking (damage). Before I close the ticket, what is the point of such an effect then? Why doesnt the set just give more HIT/accuracy instead of introducing this mysterious "stat" of "seeking attack :o "

Seeking Attack is a chance of an attack bypassing dodge. This is usually worse than +hit, but there are some cases where seeking attack is useful, while hit would be useless - Consider MVP Agiup: You are NEVER going to get more than 5% hit on an MVP in MVP agiup. But - with seeking attack, you could hit it. Maybe only 24% of the time (20% + 5% of the remaining 80%), but that's way better than 5%.

Actually, this ability is way more useful than +hit for that set; it's an archer set. And archer classes have TONS of dex. So if an archer doesn't have 100% hit, it's probably because the target has done something that gives it ridiculously high flee, so +hit isn't going to get you there, while Seeking Attack could. Supposedly seeking attack even works with skills, though I haven't tested that - I've heard of people making Ancient Gungnir to wear with Ancient Mummy card to get more seeking attack, though, and if it didn't work with skills, I can't imagine anyone doing that.

The renewal update removed the small-amount-of-everything-bypassing effect from all the things that used to give it.

Heh that sounds pretty cool now that my annoyance has calmed. Anyway I closed the ticket earlier, case closed!
