This problem keeps reoccuring everytime theres a maintenance and when we are in need to patch our patchers.
My patcher keeps going back to 2011 for some unknown reason and I have to wait for it to patch for another 2 hours again. This is the second time this has occur.

Is it some sort of bug? Is there a solution for this?

I downloaded the patch.info from this guy's thread, just so the patcher would be able to be quicker.

However, if possible I would like to know if there is solution to prevent this from happening again.

It is not understood how it happens; for this reason, it is not known how to prevent it from happening.

I've had a similar issue when trying to open RO from a shortcut that isn't on the homescreen. Trying to open the patcher from there will usually make it try to patch from 2011, while using the main homescreen icon will allow it to patch correctly. Is this similar at all to your issue, or no?

This no longer seems to happen after attempting to recreate the patch bug, so this post and point are moot.
