Ragnarok runs like crap on windows 8 but it ran fine on vista. Full screen seems to force the refresh rate down below 30Hz/fps so it's extremely laggy. Windowed mode doesn't do that but I sometimes get this weird stuttering in windowed mode. Yes, i have tried running as admin..... with XP SP3 compatibility mode..... with Direct3D HAL/ Direct3d T&L HAL/ and the two lines where it lists my video card... it doesn't help.

The PC is plenty fast for this game.(desktop with i7 and GTX 460)

Is anything being done about this or not?

I remember hearing that the client was being upgraded to use a more recent version of directx, which should fix many of the graphics issues on modern OS's. I don't know where I heard this or whether it's accurate. I hope it is.
