YaguhLOL’s Wanderer & Maestro Guide
Those that are bolded RED should be read the most.
I color coded skills based on the color in game lol.
SORRY IF IT HURTS YOUR EYES.
I'm to gay to NOT put colors in it XD!
Originally wanderers’ past dancers/gypsy/bard/minstrel was all about one major skill. Dazzler! Their dances that were used was slows grace and gypsy kiss, magic strings and song of lutie. After Balance Patch, Wanderers have been left with pretty much nothing to do but look cute! But there are still stuff wanderers are capable of doing! It all depends on the skills, equips, stats, and practice! Maestros, have been left with nothing but being a slave left! What to do? Read the guide to learn!
Stats <3:
Strength is essentially used for reverbation or weight capacity. You may want for weakness tolerance. Helps reduce the success rate of a chaser's weakness.
Intelligence for gypsy’s kiss, Magic Strings, max SP, reverbation, and success rate of chorus skills. Based on my testing, the more int, higher success rate for Siren’s Voice! (MDEF too!)
Vitality is for max HP!, linked “lutie”, tolerance to howling, stunning, silence, freezing (from wls), and I believe Crystallization. (DEF TOO!)
Agility is good for slow’s grace, attack speed (for breaking emp), and immunity to divest and sleep!
Dexterity is a must for all performers. Dex boosts the effects of strings, help with cast time delay & rate, some what helps with attack speed, and hit!
Luk overall is good for reverbation for 3 luk =1%atk&matk, good for Arc Angeling card users, and helps with almost every status effects
If one chooses to get str I would get maybe 30,
You Need At least 99 Int- 110. Reaching 150 int is now possible with gears so getting 110 is optional.
For vit I would suggest at least 99 or higher,
For agi, 90 or higher, Agi should be at least 80; that way you can attack emps.
For dex, 99 or higher,
For Luk, 30 or higher.
Dex & Vit must be at least 95.
One can choose which stats to choose from!
1st Class skills to get
Arrow Shower- Can help one give status effects. ( Only Useful with Status arrows/bows)
Double Stafe- Stop person from recalling, spammable based on aspd.
Improve concentration for more dex+agi!
2nd Class skills to get
Songs/Dances:
Please wanderers remember; your linked strings/lutie/perfect tablature//impressive riff/ will still work; but it won't work as good as a Maestro's because of the simple fact that they have Music Lessons.
Please maestros remember; your linked Gypsy's Kiss/Slow's Grace/Focus Ballet/Lady Luck will still work; but it won't work as good as a wanderer's because of the simple fact they have Dance Lessons.
Maestros; yall have it good because GK is still GK/yall still provide more sp and give sp consumption, as to where a wanderer's string still wont be as good even if they use it.
Music Lessons & Dance Lessons lvl 10; Should always get lvl 10 so each song/dance can be at its max potential~
Gypsy's Kiss:Must get to lvl 10. This song is affected based on the int of the performer. Every 10 int increases the max SP by 1% of the members within dance range along with decrease sp consumption by 1% each 10 int point. This skill is very essential for WoE because it helps RK's with dragon breathe during precasting, it reduces SP cost for everyone*you save SP supplies*, and it gives more SP for everyone, so it increases the damage of skills such as GoH, Gfist, Dragon Breathe, and etc. *NOTE THIS MEANS TOTAL INT-INCLUDING BUFFS* The Opposite of this skill when linked is Song Of Lutie.
Slow Grace: Must get to lvl 10. This song is based on the agi and dex of the performer. Every 10 dex decreases the opponents who step inside of the dance aspd by 1%. Every 10 agi decreases the movement of the opponents who step inside the dance by 1%. This dance is very essential for woe, because you will be using this skill at portals, emps, and walking to help during woe. *Note the total amount of dex/agi including buff is what determines the usefulness of the skill.* The opposite of this skill when linked is Impressive Rift. -P.S. this skill is helpful during turn ins/leveling cause it allows performers to mob!
Lady Luck: This song is based on luck. Every 10 luck increases the critical damage bonus by 1%! This skill isn't really useful because GX's should be ground controlling during precasting, and GX's should NEVER EVER be crit locking people during WoE because it breaks lex on certain characters. The opposite of this song is Magic String. Having magic string is probably the on reason why you should get lady luck.
Focus Ballet: This song is based on dex and helps with attack success of people. Every 10 dex increases the accuracy by 1%. This skill isn't really useful for WoE because flee is reduced in WoE and that means skills don't really miss. The opposite of this skill is Perfect Tablature. :v -P.S. this skill is useful when you BB because it helps you have enough hit to attack all mvps; even Gloomy <3 and it works like a phreeroni card!?
Magic Strings:Must get to lvl 10. This song is based off of dex and int and helps with the cast time, cast time reduction, and cast delay of skills. This is probably the most essential skill for WoE; because it helps with attacking and precasting. Every 10 int helps with cast reduction by 2% and every 10 dex helps with cast time reduction by 1%. This is the most used skill and should be daggered alot because; for one, it helps allies fight others; makes DB more spammable, and other skills spammable, and every skill is easy to get instant cast with. You should dagger switch this song; that way opponents dont get the effect. Opposite of this is Lady Luck.
Song of Lutie: Must get to lvl 10. This song is based off of vit. The more vit means the more max HP and Hp recovery. This song is useful for everyone because the more hp means you would survive more things. I recommend using this by RGS/RKs because they are the ones targetted most and getting Lutie will increase the HP recovery usage of Seeds/Berries/Ales/Etc. Along with increasing max HP, it helps improve the damage of DB, and more. The opposite of Song of Lutie is Gypsy's Kiss <3
Impressive Riff: Optional. This song is based off of agi. The more agi means the more aspd bonus. 10 agi= 1%! This song is useful when emp breaking BUT, I don't know for sure whether or not it stacks all the extra aspd buff~ Maestros; It is Recommended you get this song so you can use Slow's Grace! The opposite of this skill is Slow Grace!
Perfect Tablature: Optional; This song is based off of Luk and Agi. This skill helps with dodge/perfect dodge; and over all i dont think this skill is useful at all. Flee and Perfect dodge gets lower as you mob so the only time it'd be useful to use this is if your fighting mvps/or in pvp against suras who are using GoH? :> The opposite of this skill is Focus Ballet;and the reason why you may consider getting this skill is for Lullaby!
Unchained Serenade: Actually an OP skill for maestros; it deals damage based on level, but its main purpose is to let go of a string.
For example; if you are a maestro you can use magic strings, then use unchained serenade. Then in like a minute or so, once Unchained is out, you can leave and the strings will still be there; along with the effect. Therefore you can have strings or lutie up at two places!
Hip Shaker: QQ it only drain's sp based on the level of the skils/ and wont stack with anything!
Hermode's Rod: Believe it or not; this skill is useful. If you or your guild are planning to portal statis; then you can have a wanderer/maestro use this skill by the new portal and then statis. Then people inside Hermode's Rod won't be affected
Ensembles: That mean it requires a performer of the opposite sex to use; and the opposite sex performer must have skill to use with you.
Lullaby: This is perhaps one of the few old school ensembles that used to be useful. Unlike CP/Power Cord/Down Tempo/ Etc, This is the only Ensemble that stays in effect afterawhile once stepped it; For example; once an opponent falls asleep; they stay asleep for awhile!
Classical Pluck: The best and I mean it, the best ensemble skill ever. This skill disable people from using magic within it. This skill is best placed by a portal; that way people cant portal cast and run in and cloak right away!~ Some people use this right in a random place; that way people can't just packet snap through, or just keep using skills that moves; Such as Back Slide, Snap, Front Slide, etc.
Harmonic Lick: This skill is useful for an ensemble skill. Ever wanted to see how much your damage would be? Without an Thana Card? Use this skill and you can see. This skill makes the people in it have the piercing affect on their weapons while the song is up.
Longing for Freedom: Must get at least lvl 1This skill is useful because it allows one person to be free to do anything without the ensemble skill!
Solo Skills:
Dazzler: Dazzler is the skill dancer classes has inherited. This skill stuns those who does not have 100 vit, and those who are lower leveled. This skill should only be used when fighting those lower leveled then you. Believe it or not; some 150's don't even have 100vit; so they still stun lol. Both vit/base level plays a factor in stunning.
Unbarring Octave: This skill is better than Dazzler in many ways; One being that status point's wont give immunity to freezing. This skill can stop/slow down a whole guild; due to the fact that it freezes people. This skill freezes people unless they have +100mdef/unfrozen on. During woe, most people default a fire armor which means...=they will freeze xD!
Tarot Card of Fate <3: This skill is a gamble; you don't know the effect of whats going to happen. The downfall of this skill is that once you keep spamming it; there will be a cool down on spamming this card on certain people! The best effects are
<-Comas which mean you can kill<-dispells <-breaks their armor despite FCP
Sheltering Bliss, Power Cord, Slinging Arrow, Arrow Vulcan, Amp, Accoustic Rythm, Battle Theme, and Mental Sensing should not be used doing WoE because they are all under PvM really.
AV/Slinging Arrow is a possiblity; if you plan to cause status effects or break a recall!
3rd Class Skills!
Please Note All of the Songs/Dances all surround caster.
Just like with dance lessons/music lessons, Voice Lessons should be maxed to maximize the effective-ness of Class A songs.
Class A Songs: Please Note; Class A Song's override each other and all last for 1 minute. They cannot stack.
Swing Dance: this is a wanderer skill which boosts aspd. I recommend getting this skill to level 5; because it helps with getting more aspd for the casters to have less delay and to allow them to break emps as well.
Lover Symphony: This skill is a wanderer skill which boosts mdef. I really don't recommend getting this skill; but with further testing I will determine whether or not it's effective to get for frozen immunity!
Moonlight Serenade: this is a wanderer skill which boost magic attack. the skill is not worth getting; UNLESS you are a wanderer designated to nothing but a magic class party.
Windmill Rush: this is a maestro skill which boosts attack. I wouldn't recommend getting this skill because during WoE Scenarios; everything a performer should strive for is supporting/surving. Echo Song would be more important to get than this skill; because no class really needs attack for damage during woe; unless you are a ranger/mech.
Echo Song: this is a maestro skill which boosts defense by percentage. *Opposite of Lover Symphony* I would recommend to maestros getting this skill; because having more defense means surviving more skills such as GoH/G-fist/Arrow Storm etc.
Harmonize: this is a maestro skill; and is the ONLY class A skill that can be used as a debuff on opponents. I would say this skill is an iffy. The reason why I believe that is because wasting even a second or so using this skill on a person can get you, killed. Once you use this skill on somebody; it also affects you which means you'd have to cast a class A skill to cancel it. That right there would waste at LEAST 5 seconds; which can get you killed. This skill is nice because it subtracts points.
Class B Songs Please Note These Skills Cancel Each Other Effects: Most Class B Skills are chorus skills *THEY REQUIRE ANOTHER PERFORMER TO BE IN PARTY 2 USE*, other than Circle of Nature, Siren's Voice, and Gloomy Shyness.
Circle of Nature: I would recommend getting this skill at least level 1; because if you party members get affected with Sinking Melody/WarCry from Beyond etc, you can cancel it with this skill. This drains your sp to restore Hp. :C
Siren's Voice: I would recommend getting this skill at level 5; not only does it grant you immunity from targets, but it can also cancel debuffs from opponents to everyone; Not just Party Members; Allies too! This Skill is probably the most essential skill for a wanderer/maestro because it helps the performer live to support/disable people. <333 Those affected by this skill is stuck with the emote x3! Please note, you can still be flying kicked/ but you won't take damage; rather you will lose certain buffs. You can also be manwholed/lusted/ and any ground skill. The only bad thing about this skill is it class b buff skills; such as Dances with Warg/ Song of Mana/ Lerad's Dew;etc.
Gloomy Shyness: I would only recommend getting level 1 for this skill; many people may say to max it; but this skill is kinda stuck at both buff and debuff. It decreases the movement speed of opponents, and can dismount RKs/RGs but it can buff their skills? I only approve of getting level 1 so you can cancel debuff class b skills for people outside of your party.
Deep Sleep Lullaby: This skill has been nerfed so bad it barely works. I would not suggest getting; but if you have, you can use while fighting GXes/ classes with No int.
Dances With Warg: I would recommend getting this skill at level 5. This skill increases the aspd of the party, reduces the fix cast time of skills, and increases the equipment attack. This skill also benefits rangers.
Song of Mana: I would not recommend getting this skill at level 5; because Dances with Warg is more important than getting SP during WoE. People should have WoE supplies to fund for SP; so this skill shouldn't be used. At all.
Lerad's Dew: This skill increases the max HP of those in party. This skill would be mainly beneficial for RGs/RK but I would not recommend getting this skill to level 5. Dances With Wargs is more essential for RKs/RG during WoE because it helps with the cast time with their skills!
Infinite Humming: Don't even bother getting this skill. It requires to many skill points, and it's not useful in woe. :>
Saturday Night Fever: This skill because it's a gamble. This skill affects both allies and enemies; have a random success rate, and have a random duration. This skill amplifies the attack of opponents, but drains hp/sp *also doesn't allow potting/item usage*, along with decrease the defense/flee of everyone. Once Saturday Night Fever wears out, it forces opponents to sit for three seconds. This skill depends on you.
The following Class B Songs are debuffs; and affects enemies ONLY! These skills also have a long cool down T___T. These skills also doesn't have a 100% success rate; but can tell if it worked when enemies have the color coded skill aura on them. Ex; Sinking Melody works if you see a purple aura surround enemies xD.
Sinking Melody: This skill I would recommend getting at level 5. This skill drains SP from opponents nonstop and reduces the int of opponents. This is useful because it prevents sura's from gfisting or goh-ing successfully!
Warcry from Beyond: This skill I would totally recommend getting at level 5. This skill reduces the max HP of opponents but increases the str and crit of opponents. xD This skill literally makes RKs/RGs weaker; Less DB damage, Less HP on RG means they can only hold less damage before they die which means no more SAC!
Song of Destruction: This skill is useful; but if you choose to get; please not you will not have enough skill points to get class A songs or class b songs to lvl 5! This skill is an AoE which damages and takes off effects of performer skills you may have. *IT REMOVES THE EFFECT OF STRINGS TOO!!*
Offensive Skills *I personally don't think you should have any offensive skill/because if you are a performer; your goal is to support; not try to kill.
Severe Rainstorm: This skill has more cons than pros. I would not recommend getting this skill. This skill forces performer to stay with bow till SR has been done; which means you are at risk to dying, and does very minimal damage. This skill is only useful if you plan to position bug opponents; But please not you will die one shotted as this skill requires a BOW! D:(
Reverberation: This skill is useful for one main reason. I would recommend this skill only for protection. For example; I can surround myself with Reverberations; that way when opponents try to hit me; they hit the reverbation instead of me. This skill shouldn't be used for killing because the damage splits between players; so the more players by, the weaker the damage. :> Maestros may consider getting this skill as they can spam Unbarring Octave; freeze their opponents; and kill with a mob full of reverbation.
Dominion Impulse: this skill is useful to get because all you need is lvl 1! You can use this to cancel other Reverberations left by other performers.
Metallic Sound and Great Echo to me; are nothing but a waste of skill points. The damage per second would be to weak; outpotting the damage would be easy soo! <33
Equips!
*These are mines*
Required Gears
Headgears *TOP*; Any Demi Human Reduction headgears such as; Feather Beret, Poo Poo Hat, Beret, Abysmal Knight Helm, or +9 or higher Cat Ear Beret/Red Pom Band.
Headgears *MID*; Slotted Mid-Headgears to be honest, aren't much of use, due to required/recommended statuses and duty given to the class. Sigrun Wings *gives dex* , Red Glasses *gives mdef*, Black's Devil Mask *gives bonus to each stat* , & Ifrit Ears *gives little reduction from DB* those headgears are useful! If you want to add cards to a slotted one, Black Frame Glasses and Mini Glasses has status bonuses, but Glasses/Elven Ears give no status bonuses, BUT are more affordable!
Headgears *Low*; Donut in Mouth *Glazed or Choco* Both gives +100 HP (so would be useful for more hp!) Umbala Spirit would give you more HP, BUT the main two I recommend is; Well Chewed Pencil (for the poorer people) gives +3 Dex and Handkerchief in Mouth for the 3% reduction from Demi Humans! I prefer WCP due to it being cute and giving dex! Lul
Headgear Cards; KK card is useful if you have a high upgraded top headgear, Arc-Angeling card is nice IF you choose to get 80 or more luk points (I dont believe in using it), Gemini card is nice for the higher immunity to statuses effects, and if you are rich Kiel/Pharoah card would be useful! Kiel allows you to spam skills without less cool down rate, and Pharaoh helps u save straws/blue pots! LUL
(You should get Nightmare card if you don't have agi for sleep resistance)
Armors; Any armor in general with a slot would be fine, as long as its slotted with Marc Card/Pasana Card. Unfrozen Fire Armor would be recommended; WoE Suit would be useful if +9'd with the rest of the woe set, and should be slotted with Marc Card (you should be able to trust your ABs to pnuema for you, or be able to sirens due to theslowness of DB). Majority of the people who woe uses either Valk Armor/Glorious Suit for HP benefit/+9WoE Suit/Fire Armor!
Armor Cards; Pasana Card; For Dragon's Breath, Marc Card; Immunity from Freezing, Angeling Card; For Reduction from Magic, and Ghostring Card; For Reduction of G-fist and neutral damage!(if you can afford)
Weapons; Any whip would be fine if you plan to use basic dances, BUT i recommend Level 4 Whips that may be enchanted with Malangdo enchants! Getting Spell 4/4 or higher would help with the cast time of Reverbation, Song of Despair, and most importantly Siren's Voice. Bows are useful for causing status effects through Arrow Shower; so I would recommend using Frozen Bow, Or Curse Lyre, alongs with Sleep Arrow/Curse Arrow/ Or Frozen Arrows. Frozen Bow+Sleeping Arrows= Sleeping/Frozen target. The other arrows are useless to be honest. Vellum Arbalest drains 4% SP per hit, and bypasses Pneuma, which is pretty useful~
Weapon Cards; I recommend Golem Card, Fabre Card, and MAYBE Marina card, for your bow!
Shields; Any slotted shield is a must. You need a slotted shield for the most important woe card, Thara Frog. The two top shields for a wanderer would be Valkyrie & Immune Shield, and both depends on what reduction you prefer. Valk Shield reduces certain fire/elemental damage while Immune reduces Neutral Damage.
Shield Cards; Tharafrog Card should be the only one you use for woe, and MAYBE horn card.
Manteaus; I would recommend the WoE Manteau, due to the bonuses with WoE Suit & WoE Shoes and reduction from Demi-Human! Other decent Manteaus would be Diab Mant & Nid Garb! Diab Mant is useful with Diab Boots while Nid Garb is useful with Variants ! Evil Arch Angel Wings would also be useful, if you want to be somewhat cute; it still gives reduction soo!
Manteau Cards; Noxious Card would be good for range/Neutral skills such as GoH, while Raydric would be nice for Neutral damage skills such as G-Fist & Goh & Tiger Cannon(?)! If you are rich, Deviling card is highly recommended! 100% Reduc.! PEW PEW
Shoes; I recommend the WoE Shoes, for the bonus reduction from Demi-Humans with WoE Mant + WoE Suit and the bonus max HP & SP! Other shoes I recommend are Diab Boot (if you are using Diab Mant) or Variants for max hp & Sp bonus!
Shoe Cards; Verit Card is useful for the +8%, Firelock Card is useful if your Shoes are +9 are higher because of the max HP+SP 10%, and another card would be Green Ferus for +10% Hp!
Accessories; Most people would say Black Rosary *+15 mdef* , but I'd beg to differ! Only useful for the classes with the WoE Set that gives mdef! (WAYYYY 2 EXPENSIVEEEE). To me, best accessory would be Waterdrop Brooch *mdef +2 and max HP +1%* or one of the accessories from the Continental Guard Quest *Reduce 1% Cast time based on choice!*
Accessory Cards; YOU must have a Smokies card to use the skill hide! Hiding is important for when people try to kill you. For the next option, you can choose between Kafra Blossom (a bit expensive), which helps you against magic, Alligator Card (cheap/affordable), which reduces range attacks by 5% *includes magic*, or Errende Ebecce, which has a chance of casting Pnuema for you!
Tactics!
Get a linker, link yourself and ride out….SOLO! When a wanderer is linked, I would recommend flashing strings for yourself, and speed potting when slows grace to slow down opponents and spam Sirens Voice for protection! Switch between hiding and sirens, and wait till it’s the right time to cast skills such as warcry or sinking when with another performer. Run with slows grace and use song of despair to target opponents who look deadly during woe, and keep in mind song of despair may seem useless against suras and scs, and mechs, but it still prevents them from speed potting! Song of Despair is good to annoy people, so keep using it!! If your by your party, use gypsy kiss for the Rune Knights and Suras and Dance With Wargs for those in your party. When fighting opponents use LVL 1 strings and speed pot to their precast to cancel the effect of a lvl 10 string of a maestro! Wanderer’s strings are said to be debuff, so use it to debuff rks! If there is no maestro in precast, put up strings and flash between strings and lutie. If you are fighting one person head on, use sirens voice and then use the Vellum Arbalest to drain sp! Sirens will prevent foe from attacking you, while you drain SP! Draining sp does not cancel siren off opponent so don’t worry! That’s all a wanderer can pretty much do or should do!
