The setup file keeps opening each time I run RO, when I close one, it opens up again and so on until I close ragexe.exe. Tried re-installing, same error. Anyone had the same problem? I run win7 btw

Posting on behalf of my friend, apparently when he sets ragnarok.exe to run as administrator, the user security prompt doesn't pop up, and it just starts up without asking permission. The same applies for setup.exe.
However, classic and setup_classic are working as they should (the prompt is showing up), and he is able to access classic.
And yes, he is on an admin user, and the user account control settings is set to notify always.

I don't understand what the problem is. What exactly is preventing your friend from using the Renewal client?

Setup keeps starting up, as mentioned in the title.. To fix it, he set it to run as admin, but the prompt doesn't show up for renewal client or renewal setup.

As long as you rightclick and do run as admin, it should only show setup once - after you enter the settings, it should save them and never ask again.
Whether it shows the UAC prompt depends on windows UAC notification settings.

Hmm that was my idea too, but the UAC prompt wasn't turning up even when the notification settings were set to always notify. Anyways, it's working fine now apparently, ty for all the help guys ^^
