Since the 4/9 maintenance, issues

- Had very slow map loading when entering a castle during WoE. Again, this is a new thing that didn't happen before. Didn't really notice it anywhere besides the WoE maps, but then again, I only logged on for WoE.
- I've tried reinstalling once already and I am currently uninstalling for another try, and during reinstalls I see files named like 11ab10.msi or 11ab0d.msi asking for permission with UAC popups midway through uninstallation or installation.
Fairly certain it's not a virus of any kind, as I haven't gone to any website that would do that, and I haven't even used my browser on this computer that much since the maintenance.

The slow loading times are probably the result of a bug that was introduced in the latest version of the Renewal client, which, judging from the latest posts in this section of the forum, is yet another untested and buggy mess.

Just realized that these are random file strings located in the C:\Windows\Installer folder, and they're benign. That said, I believe the UAC popups for these installer files occur for the same reason that the UAC popup when starting the client occurs.
And that reason is:
because the digital certificate with which the installer and the client's executable files are signed has for some reason become invalid.
@ any GM that happens to read:
When will the new certificate be issued?
Someone's working on this I presume?
And why was the certificate allowed to lapse instead of getting taken care ahead of time, to prevent this from happening in the first place?

Suffice it to say, I only run as admin when patching, and run normally when playing the game or using a replay file. Or at least, that's how I was doing it before UAC basically forced it on me after the last patch.
Hoping that whatever got screwed up gets fixed by next maintenance.

The transition lag seems to be present on windows 7/vista systems. On windows 8 the problem seems to be gone unless am mistaken.

We released a patch that removed the requirement for admin. Hopefully that will help with client launch times.
Do you mean by maintenance or is it up now?
