Hello, I seem to be having a bit of a problem here.

I play a thief (rogue now), and according to the wiki present, after completing the Eden quest, I should be able to choose between three types of weapons - a dagger, a bow and a sword. However, I got a dagger automatically.

Is this the way it's supposed to be? It's a bit of a problem for me, as I've been aiming for a bow build for my character...

If I do remember it correctly, yes. The default weapon you will get as thief is Eden Dagger 1. Later on, when you completed the subsequent Eden Quest available at your level, you will be presented with 2 choices, to get Eden Dagger or Eden Katar (Katar is much useful if your path is Assassin, Dagger if your path are Rogue).

^as you can see, you can pick among three choices, but I'm not sure since I don't play thief classes anymore.

If you intend to have bows at your character, the class that will make full use of it is Archer. But if you do interested in having your thief to have dagger, and bow at the same time, unfortunately, you will gonna have to buy the bow (purchasable at weapon shop in towns/vendors/obtained from monster.)

Thank you very much for your in-depth response! c: The links you provided will most certainly be very useful to me - that Ragial website, just... wow! No more scouting around Pront in hopes I find the items I need :')

So, if I understood you right, there's no way for me to obtain the Eden Bow from the quest as a Thief? (To clarify, I have completed the subsequent quest as well, however once again I was presented with a dagger - this time the Eden Dagger II.) I never really intended to switch between bows and daggers, so if I could just trade in the dagger for a delicious Eden Bow, I'd most certainly do it! But oh well; this is a bit of a shame, since it is so much better than anything I could viably obtain at my current level - that Orc Archer bow seems to be waay out of my league, haha.

Still, thank you very much for clarifying this issue to me. c: I suppose I'll just have to pick up a Gakkung Bow the next time I visit Payon.
