Under the +5 refine level, the effect is, absorb 1% of damage dealt to enemy into HP, and 1% into SP with certain rate.
If refined to +5 and +6, absorb 3% of damage dealt to enemy into HP, 1% into SP with certain rate.
If refined to +7, absorb 5% of damage dealt to enemy into HP, 2% into SP with certain rate.
If refined to +8, absorb 5% of damage dealt to enemy into HP, 2% into SP with a higher rate.
If refined to +9 or above, absorb 8% of damage dealt to enemy into HP, 4% into SP with a higher rate.

Wood Goblin's Nose

+9 Vanargand has about 3% according to jRO statistics. It's just for reference coz I don't know if they put the same rate for iRO...

It should be slotted. At refines 0-6,the success rate is 1%, 7-8, the success rate becomes 2%, 9- , the success rate becomes 3%. The success rates are the same for both HP and SP drainvalues. It is better than rideword hat.

+7should be 1% too. In the description only the +8~9 lines say have higher rate.

Yeah, it's always nice to see new things on the market for a cheap price at the beginning. I don't know why people say it is expensive now... Just take the good old fashion example of the HBP/RHB/CD/BDM/etc.

They start of cheap... Then it moves on to a ridiculous price later on.

It's also keeping legitimate players from having it too. I was expecting like 300 KP to be honest. No way I'm paying 1500 KP for what I'd consider a decorative headgear.

For AS ranger, Vanargand is better since even with 4%, the AS damge will be large enough to fully recover your sp with 3 times more likely to happen rate. For other jobs I ain't sure.
