Right now the AH won't let you search with a filter on. This seems like a rather common thing to want to do. For example, with the early green gear you might want to buy it rather than try and get it via drops. To find the one for your class you have to manually browse till you find it, while ideally you would filter by say Heavy Armour etc.
Secondly, sorting. Everyone wants a good deal, but it's really hard to find the cheapest price, this is handy for undercutting, finding an items value or even taking a punt on a low bid rather than instantly buying out.
I found the AH very awkward to use anyway. I actually avoid it where possible.
