Went through the entire Izlude area as an Artisan gathering as I killed. Once I was ready to move on to the next area I had like 400 of each materal. Spent like 35 minutes with my guys ass glued to the artisan table.

I used the down time to wash the dishes, do the laundry and cook myself lunch. and then proceed to eat lunch.

I do this with my blacksmith after I'm finished with an area, and about to move onto the next.

Great ingame mechanic that kinda forces you to take a break lol.

That's easy, Artisan's skin dead monsters. He said he did a whole area, that is a lot of hide.

I did all the Khara quest and Monster busters alongside the story quest. Maybe that's why I had so much hides and cloths.

I skinned so much mer-people..........

I just get distracted every time I'm moving around a map since I can't resist mining almost every rock I see. But it gives me something to do when I'm waiting for my warrior to heal up before I continue with hunting quests. I don't remember what the longest time I've spent crafting is though. I just alt tab and work on homework a bit while she crafts haha.

Oh, well I did all my Kharas too, but I didn't took Monster Busters since I find them expensive. :p_sad:
I also pass on dead monsters inside Dungeons. :p_hi:

I never understood the Artisan crafting animation. Why is she still sewing by hand if she has a sewing machine?

Hmm typically I craft as I'm doing my quests and then stay in the area longer if it does fall behind a bit. One time, several of us in the guild got together and farmed mobs real quick for materials so the tailor among us could craft a full set for each and etc. That took like 1 hour :) - but mostly cuz we were goofing off lol -

So far I've been averaging around 10 minutes crafting all the stuff I've collected.

The most I had was 200 of each mat for artisan. Alchemist? Maybe 100 of each at most. And I had to spend a bit of time to farm that.

How much time that equates to, I have no idea. What is the time lapse per crafting item anyway?

For Artisan, Alchy, and BS I think it's about 2 seconds to upgrade the mats.

For actually producing a finished product I believe it's about 10 seconds... or some where about that.

It is not a sewing machine - it is a spindle for making yarn/thread.

Ah, I'm used to seeing spindles looking like this:

Agreed. I think it is silly to make the crafting last more than one animation period at a time anyway.

Had to grind my professional lvls overnight I've bought enough materials from the AH to max it out. 8 hours later maxed out my job, it was expensive but worth it.

It kinda looks like that, just removing the more complicated parts because-_- effort.

To me it looks like the character is sewing manually (zig-zag zig-zag and puuuuull) the spindle does something else on its own.

2 hours on pots. I buy a lot of mats from ah when I can find cheap. Always keep an excel sheet open to crunch the materials prices vs ah going rate for product net of projected fees.

If you gather tons of mats, it can literally take over a hour

Yeah, well over an hour. Might even be more than 2.

Didn't want to waste my exp scroll, so I didn't craft anything at all from Southern Plains through Verta Delta.

After that, it really was cooking time.
