After trying to play RO2 (and getting exhausted after like 1 day), I decided to check out the old RO1 (after about 6 years of inactivity), and am having some issues starting it up.
Installation worked fine, as did patching, and as soon as I clicked start, the setup window pops up. I tweaked the settings to my personal desires (noctrl and noshift brought back some fond memories) and pressed OK.
The system asked me if I wanna save these settings, so I pressed OK again. In response, the window closed, but then a new, identical window, opened up. I redid everything, pressed OK (and OK again), only to get the same result.
I originally thought it had something to do with me patching up all those lost files (so had to repeat several times), but after like 10 mins of repetition, I realized the computer may have more patience running an infinite loop than I do.
I've searched the forums, but didn't find anyone having this problem, so I made this thread.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Is there a way around this?
I'm running the game on Windows 7, and I can post my laptop's specs if you want (but I doubt it has anything to do with them).
Thanks for any help, and hopefully I'll see you guys in-game (any time now...)
