I'm against this idea. Why? Because you know you can fail and get a color you don't want. You take that risk by knowing that. There's a motto called "no risk no fun".
I spent time to search for the perfect color and when I see that my color fills up most of the circle, I pray for it to dominate ^_^.That makes coloring your costumes interesting~ It would be boring otherwise~
Indeed.
Why, every time I go shopping for new clothes, I close my eyes and run through the store. Sometimes I end up with blue shirts, at others they're green with vibrant purple polka dots. Even found myself holding some plaid in one hand and lingerie in the other once, but, hey,
no risk, no fun, right?...the dye system is atrocious and intended solely to promote sales. It should not be random, nor will you find this ludicrous implementation in other games. If I want a bloody red cape, I ought to be capable of purchasing (or, better yet, creating) red dye and coloring it. See Guild Wars 2 for a wonderful implementation of a dye mechanic, then take the necessary steps to emulate it.
