My computer is undergoing technical difficulties at the moment. I got some sort of audio memory leak recently that crashes my computer if I leave my sound active. Probably going to try to fix it next week when I have a bit more time to toy with it.

 

Even if there's no voice chat going on though, the text chat is relatively active at most hours, and people can always text chat to other users.

 

 

Personally, I often find the text chat more convenient, as I don't always have earphones in, and I can come back after stepping away from the computer and still know what the conversation was and respond to it. But maybe thats just me.

We've got players from all over the world in the iRO Community RaidCall, from China to England. And there are players who text chat in English better than speak it. There's very few players who have basic computer mics and even fewer with proper gaming headsets. So yeah, a mix of not being able to afford good mics and a vocal language barrier prevents voice chats from being common in the RaidCall.

That said, we're not going to make voice chatting a requirement. People are free to hang out and participate in voice chat or text chat if they want to. Or they can lurk. As long as you're not causing trouble for anyone in the RaidCall, we don't really mind what players prefer to do in there.

If anyone's having chat problems in the group (can't see other people's text chats), please uninstall and wipe RaidCall from your computer. Then download and install the latest installer.

I will be leaving town for a couple weeks. My internet access will be sparse, so in the meantime I have given the raidcall member Phuu temporary admin rights in my absence.

 

The current admins you can contact with your issues/questions/concerns remain as:
