How about this, Oda:

Add an NPC to the Novice Training grounds next to Shion.

 

If you are a 1/1 Novice, this NPC will warp you to an arena map and automatically save you there.

 

No storage, no kafra, no mail, warp portal and teleport disabled, the works.

 

This map will have the USRC NPCS: Gears, consumables, free 90/60 and job change (or 85/60 for the applicable classes).  The map would also be shut off from the rest of the game.  You can only enter as a 1/1 regular novice, and you can never leave.

 

It will have access of 4 new GvG rooms for USRC practice.  You don't need to implement rules such as consumable/class limitations/number limitations - let the players handle this themselves.

 

Aka, let the Classic USRC practice just happen on the Classic server.

 

Just be doubly sure that there's no way out.

We very much would want to NOT have renewal mechanics for the classic USRC. What I meant is that the reason why the Classic USRC is last in the scheduling is that we need that time to change the mechanics back to pre-renewal.

 

For the people asking about making a second Sakray I had asked about that when we were first coming up with these tournaments and we do not have the available server hardware to host even a temporary Classic Sakray. 

 

So how do we get a server to practice on? Doesn't it seem rather dumb to have a tournament without giving us the opportunity to practice before-hand? Or is this a way of telling us to go find private servers to practice on?

ODA could please adjust training camps and make private rooms to train,and not among all players.

nobody from pservers (majority of 2ez) ever played under usrc rules, so we would probably not do to well if we don't get time to practice.....

Not a bad idea!!!! Oda please consider. Also would it be possible to do this but with new warpportal accounts that don't have the ability to trade or be traded anything? (Just in case). So they're locked off from the world.

 

Also I think if you ever get the man power Oda it would be nice to capitalize on rwc style battles more often in game.

Think about if you could have an automated style battles using the kvm room (but not with kvm prizes), with a ladder, set teams, etc. All controlled through an npc. Would be neat if they would give supplies/gear (to use in the battle), and you can only enter the room with 0 weight and no gear on you.

 

Pipe dream I suppose. I can elaborate on this more if you'd like.

People come in and spam Mandragora Howl or Jack Frost while we're practicing and think they are hot shots while they main sakray.

There really isn't a great way for us to restrict private rooms that would not be incredibly cumbersome to set up. In the past, we gave control of the room to the RWC team since they were the ones using it the most. If people are being asshats in the practice area that's something you can PM me to have them blocked until the tournaments are over.
