Bring back originally planned features:
  • 'Jig-Saw system'/Tailoring System: http://news.mmosite....pecting,2.shtml Originally planned for users to design their own clothes by putting clothes parts together (that's where the name jig-saw comes from...). However, designing will have its limits as users might design 'R-Rated' clothes in-game. System was later modified to allow people to upload graphics to skin their characters' clothes.
  • Original launch towns (Prontera, Payon, Geffen, Morroc, Einbroch, Alberta, Umbala): http://ro-projectrev...towns_6935.html 2 out of 7 for towns that are supposed to be available UPON LAUNCH is pretty sad.
  • Attribute Forging: http://ro-projectrev...it-forging.html Let me make equips and weapons that are akin to the carded versions from RO1.
  • Hunters and weapon flexibility: http://ro-projectrev...scriptions.html I want to play a dagger Assassin in RO2.
  • Job Class Trademark skills (e.g. Thief's Steal, Wizard's Storm Gust, etc.): No link because that information was on an old version of the kRO2 site.
  • Camping - build your own tent, which has its pros and cons. http://forums.irowik...6&postcount=601
Implement RO features:
  • Novice: If not job class, then a permanent costume (no stats, no slots) would suffice.
  • RO Elements (Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Holy, Shadow): It'll make OP raid bosses a little less OP.
  • An actual pet system: not the temporary Monster DNA stuff. We want tames and the whole caboodle. (Or the taming method used in WoW. Either one's fine.)
  • AGI stat affects movement speed: Buy a mount or waste points in AGI? Let's make it interesting!
  • RO1 Acolyte: So I can play a semi-support Monk in RO2 and you can save that Resurrection stuff for Priests like it should be.
If you're going to be a WoW clone, then do it right:
  • Town-to-town flight paths: which includes villages in addition to the main towns like Prontera and Alberta. I have a Peco Peco; I can get around in a single region just fine. I don't need unnecessarily extra flight Kafras to go from one end of a region to another. Just make it so farther destinations cost more money than closer destinations.
  • Building interiors: Why are vendor NPCs out in the streets? There's shop buildings all around, put them in there!
  • View AH buyer info:Let us see who bought our AH items so we can either thank people or report possible bots.
  • Report a Player In-Game: Enough said. Make it link to Support tickets or something.
  • More Non-PVP Activities: Peco Peco racing circuit, fishing, card games (Ragnarok version of Triple Triad?), SOMETHING other than Khara missions and crafting.
  • Flexible Costumes: One icon, one item for a costume that'll adjust itself to any character, regardless of gender. You've done this for in-game gears, you can do this for costumes, too!
Other notes:
  • WoE should be primarily guild vs. guild: Seige weapons are fine, but they should supplement the battle, not be the primary means of attack.

EDIT: On the AGI-movement speed suggestion:

I think having AGI affect non-PVP movement speed would be a benefit that all classes should be able to enjoy. Assassins will always be faster than any other class regardless so I don't think it'll be that detrimental to them.


EDIT2:

Reverse Bad Decisions:
  • Re-implement bag-based Kafra Storage and account-wide storage and don't make either of them reliant on the Kafra Shop.
  • Re-implement the original card system (with effects and not just stat boosts).
  • Make the card album part of storage and not reliant on the Kafra Shop.
  • Remove time durations on costumes and mounts, especially for those earned through quests.

Chaos/Order system is supposed to be for level 50+. It'll likely come after they increase the level cap.

 

At Lvl. 50~99 Players will be able to choose between staying Neutral - Light[Holy] or Chaos[Dark].

First, I want to take the time to say that you've made some AWESOME suggestions here, and I personally agree with the overall majority of them.

 

However, that post there in that url kind of conflicts itself:

 

Instead of Rebirth or 3rd Jobs, RO2 will currently offer a Light and Chaos system currently known as the "Chara System" [Name will mostly change]

 

 

Then, bit later, they say:

 

Your job will change. Depending on the side you choose you'll become a new type of class with new skills unlocked.

 

 

 

Regardless of said contradictions (that url directs to a post dated in 2010), considering something developers said (here: http://sgcafe.com/2012/12/ro-ii/), I doubt this system will actually be implemented, and they may end up actually going with 3rd Jobs/Class, and Rebirth, as well.

 

This is based on these words (dated in 2012, which may have more validity due to being more recent):

 

 

Third and Rebirth system class will be reintroduced again in RO2. However there will be some changes made to the Rebirth class system. In RO during one Rebirth, the character would start from the beginning again, whereas our team find it hard to start over and they find that Rebirth is a process to change into Third Class rather than from the beginning of the game again.

 

With this, we are planning to do a level of update whereby the Third and Rebirth Class will be introduced by stages. The Third class system somewhere in the first half of 2013 and the “Rebirth” shortly after.

 

 

Not really sure what the devs may do, so to be honest, we'll just have to wait and see. Personally, I don't care either way, as long as they actually think things through and make sure it can be a fun game. :p_laugh:

The way I see it from other sources I've looked into, what they meant by the "job change" is that you'll become a job class that leans towards a certain alignment.

So say you have a Knight and you decide you want to be a Knight of Order. If you continue doing Kharas that keep your Knight in the Order alignment, it can become a 3rd Class Knight of Order and a Transcendent Class Knight of Order.

The Khara system from level 50 onward works with the job class system to help players customize their characters on an interesting level. There's still not much information on how alignments will affect your character performance-wise. Maybe it could give our characters special abilities or access to certain quests or Kharas. We won't know until they implement it.

Elements I also agree with extraordinarily, as that's something I like in MMOs.

you call it op i call it having fun on a game.. noone comes to a game to play a weak  class .. every class in this game have been nerffed into weakness.. i have made every class and remade them just to see.. there is no class that can stand and fight a boss in this game of there lvl.. thats lame dose the boss go spend a -_- load of zeny on armor ? potions ? weapons?? no but evin if you do you still cant beat a boss solo of your lvl thats lame ass hell..

 

dammit i use to love this game but now i cant play for more then 2 hours without cursing gravity and turning off the game..  OP every thing.. its a game... make the card rate like 10% so people can get cards they want instead of having to buy them from bots..   get a clue gravity.. stop trying to balance classes.. your classes suck as they are make them op  OP  Op :P

^ummm, I don't think they're saying that it's overpowered. OP can also mean "original poster", so they just meant they support the first post ideas.

one thing is sure they need to make this game better, its sad with 20-30% of the game has quit, due to bugs/lack of content/rage quits, they need more stuff to entertain people, i wish to see Ro2 hit the same Glory as Ro1

On the WoW clone part and pets of the opening post: I could totally see it working great with this franchise. Even if the later game didnt pay attention to the pets in RO1, some of them are iconic (everyone loves porings) :3 

 

As it is, pet battles in WoW  are HUGE success. People claimed that "lol pokewow" but the truth is that thing is incredibly easy and addicting. And the best part is that it can be played equally between casuals and hardcore. Some of the best pets there are store bought (Lil' Ragnaros for example, but not all the store pets are OP, cinder kitty is kinda lame and Lil KT is way below the all-powerful Crawling Claw), but overall it added another layer to a game when it needed it most, and i know some people would love to have an angeling pet :3 and it wouldnt disrupt the feeling of the game either: RO always had the kawaii factor tuned to 11   :P

I think ro2 shold be the continuation of ro1 (with a similar system, at least), not a game quite diferente. And it make me think, the guys who developed ro2 never played ro1.

I mean it takes them weeks just to semi fix bugs...

I agree, unfortunately.

They have to do something, or the game will not convince ro1 players (if its what they want).

I agree to most of these but this one's probably unfair, unless the movespeed gained is capped at like 10-15% or something. AGI is already one of the most valuable stats for any class, I would much rather that they improve the usefulness of WIS

All these sound great, honestly I had no idea they had these many ideas for RO2, which makes me more resentful now lol.

 

The only one I don't agree is AGI, all class benefit from AGI really, so if anything they should just give back the DEX stat, as many suggested giving Haste/Vigor buffs and tweak Vit so it adds additional defense more so than just 6 HP per point. (which in turn, will fix most Raid bosses damage by this alone)
