Gravity please update the game so that is compatible with Windows 8.  Are there plans to update the game for Windows 8 compatibility or is this being currently being worked on?

Another option would be to allow connect/login to the Nova server with our Facebook/Kalydo account using the full desktop client since the game will run correctly when set to compatibility mode.

I'd quite like the option to connect to Nova using the client, regardless.

I agree.  That is something I want as well.  The dedicated full desktop client is much preferred.

Its possible to make the necessary exceptions in the browser version, but I don't know where the browser version installs the game.

Thank you for this information.  However I am not sure what needs to be done implement this.  Can you give me instructions on where/how to input this?  I apologize for needing further instructions.  Thanks again!

The browser installs itself to

C:\Users\<USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Kalydo\KalydoPlayer\content\apps\RequiemFacebook

As for the "Requiem Kalydo Login" (this is the non Facebook browser login that allow you to connect to the Trifri server via a web browser)

C:\Users\<USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Kalydo\KalydoPlayer\content\apps\Requiem

In that folder right click on system\Requiem.exe

Choose properties

Compatibility Mode Tab

Click run in Compatibility Mode

In the drop down select Windows 7 SP2

You might also need to click the Run as Admin box.

Running the Facebook/Kalydo Requiem client (requiem.exe) in compatibility mode causes an error in the “Micorsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library” which crashes the game.  I also have already tried disabling the Windows Firewall and Windows Defender but this also didn't resolve the issue that I am having.

I am able to connect to the game and my character loads but the issues are as follows:

  1. My character has his arms stuck out on both sides and if I strafe left or right he spins like a corkscrew which this causing the toroso & legs to not be rendered properly.
  1. NPC’s are not visible.  I can see their shadow.  If I click on them I am able to select them.

Sorry, here's the explanation:

Create a shortcut from your requiem.exe (...Gravity\Requiem\system)
Right click on the shortcut, Properties.
My windows is not english, but I believe it's called Target.
So here put everything between " marks, go to the end in this line, press space then paste 128.241.93.171 -FromLauncher 0/0 0 0 1 3 0

It should be like this:

"E:\Program Files\Gravity\Requiem\system\Requiem.exe" 128.241.93.171 -FromLauncher 0/0 0 0 1 3 0

image.png

You can do this to connect to the Trifri server, it's IP is 128.241.93.161 so just change the IP's last number.

You can start it multiple times (multiclient).

Just don't forget to launch the updater after every maintenance, I had xmas music and wingrider for another week because I forgot to do it. xD

I just tested this out and it works like a charm.  I am now able to connect to the Nova server via the full desktop client.  Logging is is no problem at all if you know the ID & password for your Requiem Facebook/Kalydo account (which I do so logging on & playing was no issue for me at all).

Ok one last question here.  Is connecting to the Nova server from the full desktop client allowed or is this considered to be grounds for being banned?  Personally I don't think it should be a bannable offense but I jut want to be sure.  Can a GM or community moderator please respond and let me know it this is ok?  It this isn't ok just tell me and I will make no future use of this connection method which allows the full desktop client to log onto the Nova server.

How would one find out the login ID and password?

For the ID & password you just need to log into your WarpPortal account and go the Account Information page (https://www.warpport...nformation.aspx)

Look for the 8 digit account that will be the account for your Facebook/Nova/Kalydo login.  The password for that account should be the same password as your WarpPortal account (or possbily the same password as your Facebook account).  You should be able to change this password if necessary (this can be done by clicking the edit link to the right of the account name).  If you don't know the password just use the forgot password option after your select to edit the account.

When you log into the game use the 8 digit as the ID and the password will be whatever password you have set for that account.

I tried both Facebook Password and the Warpportal Password, still wrong.
The "Forgot Password Option" for the Game Account shows error 'BirthYear'.
I guess we should find a way to enter birthdate into the account infomation...

Btw I can't do anything with the empty birthday there, since my account is auto-registered through facebook.

Did you change the server IP address Requiem is connecting to by editing the Requiem shortcut?

Nova: 128.241.93.161

Trifri: 128.241.93.171
