I know almost nothing about them, but I think you should either focus on dps+buffs or heals+buffs. I also heard that their dps sux.
But I never played one so it's only my opinion

coz they are supports XD i think its like dps priest atm
i think SM replace 1 priest slot in raid,but no sure + Crest replace rogue/sins soo we dont saw anymore that classes XDDD

The above linked video from kRO showcases a Soulmaker that's mostly leaning towards support. As you can probably observe, you can utilize more than one Soul Link buff at a time on a target of your choice. That's actually pretty good. Their ability to deal damage is mostly in bursts like Sorcerers, even though it doesn't seem as great as that. Crescentia makes use of a ton of DoTs, combos, and a few burst skills.
Needless to say though...Soulmaker is a lot more prominent in the field of support compared to when they're built for DPS. If you want a DPS class between the Noels, go with the Crescentia.
Edit: Doesn't matter what skill build you go with, it's recommended that you max out Soulmate.

Crest also have awesome debuffs, if they work on raidbooses also it just was great

Very intresting build, why 5 points into concentration? I think, That skill just makes cast times and cooldown a little faster.

Acceleration and Vitality. +10% Vit is pretty useful for classes with a lot of it in endgame.

Why putting skill points into heals if you think that they should dps? Even with lvl 1 heals you will not have enough points for the dps tree.
I read on SEA forums that their dps is really very low, not better than that of a hybrid priest.... So I don't really know.
Soulmaker's biggest drawback as FS seems having no res.

i dont know too how char with 13/21 sup.skills can be DPS.. also their M.attack on weap very low >_<
interesting.. in Colo enemy can uset your Cure Pearl ? XDD
+ Crest Evanesco.. if player kill uself under that debuff who got frag ? XDD

Devotion is not letting the target die once you used the link, it heals 10% hp instead of dying.

did u know, Crest Raw Tilt debuff (+15% dmg on target for 30sec) work on raid boss ? coz if it works, its just OMFG.. coz Crest+SM in raid, buff raid squad for +25%dmg(almost,depends on game mechanics) on RB oO
Raw Tilt anyway looks like hard troll rogue skill:
Raw Tilt : cd 10sec debuff +15% recives dmg for 30sec
Mark of Death : cd 120sec +10% dmg increase
it start looks like

Problem is, this is not the same as res as you need to predict the death in advance.
Yes, it's good, but I'm not sure if it can really compensate for the loss of res ( a soulmaker can be used to replace a priest or sorc but... no res)

That's why they're in their own field. They're not replacing anything. Soulmakers just happen to be an extremely useful class to have around for their buffs. Soulmakers not only have no res skill, but they also do not have an efficient AoE healing skill for parties. All they really have is that beefed up single heal. Just because they can prevent someone else's death doesn't mean they can prevent their own either. The +physical/magical atk % and +% critical damage buffs they tout will also benefit high DPS classes a lot more than on themselves. Warriors, Knights, Rogues, and Assassins are going to be really happy with that Crit damage buff.

Now I don't know too much about raid tactics and whatnot, but isn't it possible that SM will replace the single-target-heal priests(lvl 1 HH) who focus mostly on the tank, off-tank, this way you have more dps slots open. If you have a SM, 2 sorc *and* 2 priests it seems to me that the bosses will enrage every time ...

WIth the heals, crit boost, atk boost, and damage reduction SM can replace a Priest or a Sorc. Most likely they will take a Sorc or Wiz spot in a raid T_T.
Since their buffs will have to be recast about 3-4 times a fight. I suspect a SMs time spent during a raid will be 35% DPS, 25% buffing, and 40% Healing.

On the bright side, I see it as potentially shoving more variety into raids than our typical setup nowadays. Having to have two Sorcerers and two Priests together as a necessity is pushing it.
I don't think bosses will hit their enrage timers any faster than before (In fact, I believe it'd be easier to take down bosses before they hit their enrage timers), because the Soulmakers provide a hefty damage boost to all DPS classes with their buffs. Crescentia are also able to stack a bunch of DoTs on top of the other currently existing classes as well. +10% atk/matk and +10% Crit damage together is no laughing matter. That's not even including a maxed out Soul Link: Balance for an extra 10% atk/matk to one of the DPS classes in a raid.
Not only that, but they also have Soul Link: Revive for reducing damage taken to certain party members in certain scenarios. This allows for less time allocated towards healing said party members affected by it and allowing more time to focus on DPSing the bosses.
