Maybe WoE would be more enjoyable if the castle really was Pron Fortress. (It's also the same on the event page that displays before the website.)



EDIT: Here's the event page. Nothing like visiting iRO2 for the very first time and seeing an update that allows you to invade Pron Fortress.

Its actually pr0n, and its spelled this way so that it doesn't show up when someone searches the word "porn". 

It was introduced as a masking tool to prevent people from logging your involvement in less than reputable activities. Much like the original intent behind 1337 speak itself. 

 

I guess that explains a lot.

I thought it was a name done on purpose as a joke. There's a lot of things named kinda funny like Egon Busters as one of the Monster Buster venders in payon near all the "ghosts".

I guess they wanted to use a shorter version so it would fit better to the UI but Prontera Fortress / Stronghold would be the correct translation (프론 요새).

But what I can't understand is why they haven't fixed this stupid Verta Delta... I told it right from the beginning and everyone should notice this mistranslation but it seems nobody cares Oo.
It's obviously meant to be called "Berta Delta". It is the river delta next to the town Alberta so it should be very clear... You only need to put it into the google translator to see this because it will translate 베르타 삼각주 to Bertha Delta. It was only called Verta because auf the incompetence of the korean translators. Everyone should know that there are some problems with V and B and L and R when you translate korean to english...

알베르타 도시 is Alberta City (Google translates it to "Cities in Alberta")

삼각주 is translated to "Delta"

I absolutely have no idea how this could stay in the game for over 9 month.. (it was always correct in the fan translations so it's not that hard)

If I recall well, there is a statue or sign that clearly states "Berta Delta".

Because they don;t want to be bothered as it making sure everything is correct, just the bare minimum on there part will be contributed. There probably wasn't so much as to a thought whether the player base would give notice to any mistakes in the process. xD

It would be nice but I am sure that is a whole separate issue, imagine if they were to make a(n) attempt to do just that and anything went wrong. Or imagine being blamed for things that were not even there fault because they did not follow protocol.

WarpPortal is able to fix descriptions on RO1, don't see why they can't do it for RO2.

WarpPortal is able to fix descriptions on RO1, don't see why they can't do it for RO2.

WP doesn't have as much local control over RO2 as they did over RO1, but they should probably be able to fix some translation thighs locally though.

I would gather they have a decent amount of freedom (opinion), but I know if I were WP right now I wouldn't do anything without a go-ahead first.
