"blank" screen on starting client

Hellow, well i have te problem that when i install de client and try to open it, this screen appears and nothing happens.

I use windows 8, i think thats what causes it.

Are you running the game in full screen mode? Don't do that on Win8. 

 

Are you running any illegal private server clients, or clients for other national ROs at the same time you're trying to run iRO? Don't do that. 

 

I think this may mean something specific, but i forget what.

Yeah, I feel like this is a specific problem with a specific solution, but I don't remember what it is, because you can't search the forum for a screenshot, and it's not obvious what words to describe it (there are at least two other threads with a SS of that in them, and both of them were resolved)

The updater's window appears as it is shown in your screen capture when it is unable to load its skin from the PatchClient subfolder. This usually occurs when the updater is run with the wrong working directory set.
 
Please describe exactly how you are opening the client.

I just open Classic RO as administrator, in the path it is installed.

I fixed it, it was a problem with the client, I was downloading the wrong one, sorry for bothering and thanks for the help.

Oh, did you download the Classic client separately and then attempt to run it by itself? No, that won't work. I don't know why that file is still advertised on the web site.
