After patching my client once I reach the last few bits of data left to DL the patch always failed.... I've tried to DL the manual patch from RO site but still have same issue

my client is trying to patch from 2 years ago. the patching client in this game is broken. they should have a permafix stickied on the tech support section for this issue since its been an ongoing problem forever

Are you using IE to download the manual patches? Try a different browser - the patch client hooks into IE libraries and both will fail in the same ways typically.  In your situation (where it can start downloading but not finish) is one of the few situations where manual patching has a chance of success.

hi, in my case... it failed to unpack 2013-9-4data_gm_client.rgz file. yes i tried manual patch download using google chrome, still the same. Im just so annoyed right now, and last option is to reinstall RO and patch from 2011 or so......

question ,, so if i manually patch or download the patch file were do i put it?   patch failed 2 time it went to the final bits

need details on patching manually

hmm so i go to the folder, what folder exactly i put it bro?   

now i cant play because of the 100mb patch   

if only we have a offline patcher, this problem can be fixed           

 

PS: i have slow internet T^T

i reinstalled the RO client and started the patch process again but still having the same error.T.T

And the update process takes more time than the usual. Is it normal because the file is too large....or is it because of my internet connection?

Pls someone help to solve this problem....

If you're encountering the "failed to get 2013-9-4data_gm_r.gpf file" error, then try the following:

• Download this file.
• Close any and all open RO clients.
• In File Explorer/Windows Explorer, right-click the file you downloaded in step 1 and then choose "extract all".
• Press "browse" and then choose the IRO client folder.
  
  The default location of the IRO client folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Gravity\Ragnarok Online on 64-bit versions of Windows, and C:\Program Files\Gravity\Ragnarok Online on 32-bit versions of Windows.
• Press "extract".
• Open the Renewal client.

that patch.ini forces me to re-update the patch all over again. i dont know it will work or not, but i wont redownload the 100mb patch again, its really painful for me due to very slow internet connection. tried to update b4 this, failed twice in the middle of the process, spent 2hours of waiting for nothing

Could you download the Zip file that my previous post links to (which contains all of yesterday's updates) from somewhere else, such as a friend's house?

I downloaded manually but it says failed to patch XXX. xxxx 2011   please help been 2 days without playing

hey Alyxus i dloaded that zip file (took me 2hours really :V, luckily i didnt dc), extracted in my iRO folder, ran the patcher and it freaking fixed it!

I just followed Alyxus steps and still the same.

 

Message says: Failed to get 2011-6-28data_gm.gpf file 2011!

 

Please help with date issue.  I am not sure why is this doing that

NVM!  I think i got it working now .  Here is some help to whoever have the DATE patch issue:

 

*if you notice on the loading screen after you -manually downloaded the patch and put it in the proper folder, You have to download another file that must be copied over in the same folder

download this and put it in ro folder.  This should solve many problems.
