Firstly i apologize that this is going to be ridiculously long. I didn't intend to make this intro soooo long but the story went along so far that i kind of had to add a whole bunch more to it so it could fit lol. Bear with me xD
Anyways, i tried to tie it in to what the last post was so that would explain why its so long.
Hopefully it makes sense lol.. Enjoy.
Edit:: alright, now that i have a better idea of what is going on here, i cleaned it up a bit to sound a little more consistent. @.@

It had been a few days since Hope was last able to escape her imprisonment in Lighthalzen, It seemed so nice to finally be able to play the game that once seemed nostalgic and fun to her but now seemed like a nightmare.
She was lost and confused and really had no where to go, she had been trapped in Lighthalzen due to errors not allowing her to change maps and the monsters were just insanely hard so it was impossible to walk to any other town.
She still had all of her equipment and still had access to everything she needed, but all of her characters were set to save at Lighthalzen so that didn't do any good for her at all. And to make matters worse, it seemed as though any form of contact was broken on her end. The most she could even do was talk in public chat, but whispers or even mail always called back errors every time she tried. Lighthalzen was litterally a ghost town, no one ever tried coming. Not one person crossed her path. The only company she had was from the local NPC's, and even that proved to be a bit disheartening after a while.
"I have all my good equipment and yet i Still cant get past that first field map, i fear to even know what the breezes are like" She cringes at the thought.
"Ehh.. i just wish my chat options were functioning the way they should be, i haven't been able to even try to find out if anyone i know is on. Heck i don't even know if they have the same character names anymore!"
Every few hours she tried to make her escape from a town she once thought was so beautiful but now is just a prison.
But... each attempt lead to failure as one thing would go wrong as she tried. From a monster nearly killing her and forcing her to resort to using a Butterfly Wing, to portals not even warping. When the portals did warp it always lead to a map failure which sent her back to her save point anyways.
There was no one to contact, her friends-list was emptied and she never crossed paths with any other player let alone a GM in that entire time. Being alone proved to begin to get rather depressing.
She sighs heavily saying, "These monsters are NOT supposed to be this difficult, it makes me feel like such a pushover. Im a lvl 150 Warlock for crying out loud!"
Just as Hope was going to give up and just go for retreat yet another night to the Lighthalzen inn and log off, she notices a certain option missing from her menu. Sighing from the over abundance of crazy glitches and bugs she has encountered thus far, she thinks to herself, "Geez when am i going to catch a break, now the log out feature is missing... These glitches are getting out of hand! I cant even contact a GM about this nonsense..."
Just then she overheard something that made her eyes shine with a new hope. There just so happened to be a couple of people that came off of the airship talking.
"Geez what was that stuff in Prontera all about?"
"I don't know... but I'm getting really worried now..."
"We haven't been able to log out for a while now.... I hope this problem gets fixed soon.. I have things i need to do."
"Same here..."
Shortly after they got off they left in a warp portal before she could even run to ask questions.
Hope thought to herself, "I guess that explains why i have had issues logging out, i just wish there were people i could interact with aside from the NPC's around here. I mean if the field monsters were that scary i do NOT want to see what the bio labs is like.. -sigh- and i remember being able to kill those things too..."
When those two people left she quickly pondered on wandering onto the airship in hopes that it would finally take her somewhere and not give her a map failure just to send her back to her save point in Lighthalzen. As she thought about leaving Lighthalzen, or at least trying to, the light was quickly growing dimmer and soon night took over. The street lights in Lighthalzen automatically turning on as stars in the sky began twinkling and moving as a big bright moon appeared in the distance.
"Mmm... maybe i should retreat for now, it is much to dark to even see anything and who knows what kind of things are around in this night. I dare not venture far to find out..."
After saying that she wandered to the Lighthalzen inn and layed down on a bed. Fiddling around with her menu, hoping that maybe her log out option would reappear, she slowly fell asleep.
When the morning came around she stretched and yawned as she looked hazily out the nearby window.
"Oh... its morning already, this is so weird sleeping in a game.. but i suppose it cant be helped. At least now that there's light outside i can finally try to leave!"
Hope quickly gets up and walks out of the inn, walking toward the airship port. With her spirits high and still nervous, she makes her way into the hub that may deliver her from her prison.
"I really hope this works... i was hoping i would be able to surprise my friends and sneak up to meet them but i guess that didn't really turn out how i imagined."
As the few days of being trapped in Lighthalzen proved to her, it was that she could do more than what she remembered. There were clearly limitations on things back then but surely now she noticed that was not the case anymore.
During those days she was surprised to find out that she could practice cooking the way she does in real life. It turned out she could actually use her real life skills in game. That proved to be exciting at first but then quickly, with no friends around to enjoy anything, it became depressing. Her emotions were wavering wondering when she would be able to see a familiar face, so this risk was worth taking.
Double checking and making sure she had all her equipment on her and things necessary in her inventory, she took a deep breath and set off onwards hoping the airship will take her to someone familiar.
"Please.. let this work" She cried.
Talking to the NPC's leading her to the airship, feeling nervous, she managed to get onto the airship with no issue. Finally a light shined in the distance for her and she regained some confidence. She finally could try and find any familiar face.
"Wow... the airship looks so.... so different in this new look. I have been deprived of so much aside from seeing Lighthalzen i feel sort of amazed at even this."
She takes a breath of the fresh air surrounding her as the simple small breeze blows on from the airship flying from Lighthalzen to Juno.
"The clouds look so real, you can even see the towns and fields passing by as we fly! This is so different, i can even see Juno in the distance and we're coming to it so fast."
With a bit of excitement she slowly walks towards the exit, waiting for the portal to appear as the announcements say the destination.
"We are arriving in Juno shortly! Please be patient as the portals open."
Once the portal appears she quickly steps on it and gets enveloped in that familiar blue light then appears in the Juno airship dock.
Feeling nervous she slowly steps forward into this new town and walks toward the loading station so she can quickly switch to the second airship toward Izlude.
"I cant believe i made it this far, I'm so excited. Once i get to Prontera I'm sure to find someone i know! Then maybe someone can explain to me what the heck is going on." She says as she sighs
The Juno airship dock NPC's once again flawlessly let her on board for the Izlude bound airship and she quickly walks over towards the edge to watch the towns and fields pass her by in a quick but visible blur. She could see Payon and Alberta in the far distance but that gap was quickly closing in.
"This is so much more fun than the old days, i really enjoy this view."
Just as she gets lost in a daze watching the scenery change before her eyes there is another airship announcement. She was expecting it to say the next destination she was anticipating but what she actually heard sent a chill down her spine.
"We are now heading to Iz-iz-iz-iz lude-lude-lude.........
.................
A̢̟̩̱̖͙̙͂̑̉̔-̢̪͖̙̃̌͗a͐̎ͯͧ҉͓̖̳̫̝̥ͅ-̜͕â̙̯͕ͣͥ-͌̀̓͒̆҉͓̭͚a̴̒͆̎-̶̠̯̲ͥ̓̿̅͒͊a̅̀͛҉̜͔̳̼̟̦c̢͕̩̟̟͂̃͆̐̿ͫ̓c̡̱ͣ̈́ẹ͕̦̮͎̓̋͜s̪̣̟̅͠s̲̦͍̪̋̄̀̐́ͅ ̻̭̤̙ͯͣ͋̈̚ ̥̰͉ͪͥ̓͠-̲͚ͦͤ̑ͪ̀ͨ͒c͈̳̭͕͔ͬ̓ͩ̋͛c̓́̿e̗̠ͮs̪͕͕̋͒ͦͧ͊̀s̗̘̭̪̫͒ͤ͋̄ ̛̙̩̳̮̜̥̞̌̄ͧD̹͈͚e̷͖ͣ͆-̯̠̠̜̪̍́͆d̩̬͍̮̺̲̙ĕ̓ͩͧ̍-̵̬̩̲͉̄d͈͖̹̤͖͕̬ͧ͜e͚͕̻͕̪ͅň̺͖͇̱͎̳͈ͮͬ̒i̦̳͙̺̠ͣe̼̺̰̼͚͋́ͅd̝͔͍̤̻͔́̔̊ͅ-̖̜̗͚̹͓̞̽ͮ̈̈̚͞d̬̦̅̃̉̐ͮ̋̚-̭̟d̬͍̟̲̣ͮ̓̍͒̏̈.̹̣̣̳͖̲͓͊͜.͉͕̟͎̘ͫ͛.̼̲̟̑̌ͨ.̶̦̖̬̘ͥ̄ͧ "
Thinking to herself, she found it quite odd that happened.
"Maybe... lag caused that to happen..? Either way that was really odd.."
Suddenly the airship felt like it was going to stop mid transit, it was rumbling and shaking violently from these so-called unknown commands that were shouted during the glitched announcement.
"Ahhh w-whats going o-on..." She screams, clinging her hands onto the side of the airship
The airship controls were going all out of whack and the ship started rotating. She begins moving closer and closer to edge of the ship, noticing that the map bounds are not keeping her from moving outside. Her eyes begin to widen as she clings with all her life to the side of the ship railing.
"Eeeyyaaahhh... It's not supposed to move this way!!! I... I'm gonna fall!! Someone help me!!"
As the Airship turns nearly sideways, gravity starts pulling her body down, the airflow interrupting her grip she is forced to let go and fall off the ship.
Panicing she notices shes falling toward a foresty area, she quickly tries opening her inventory to use a fly wing or anything to get out of this predicament.
[You cannot use this item here]
[You cannot use this item here]
[You cannot use this item here]
[Unavailable Area to Teleport]
[This skill cannot be used within this area.]
Nothing was usable in this space, its like as if falling through the map itself was restricted from anything, Her eyes were narrowing at the doom that was drawing closer. She had no idea what would happen when she made impact on the ground. Would it cause damage? Would she die instantly and get sent back to her save point? She worried because she was still saved in Lighthalzen. She had no idea what she was going to do.
The impact was inevitable, she slowly started to accept that this fall was not going to stop. In the middle of the crisis her clothes and her gear start catching wind from the fall. She glances sadly at her clothes and notice that one particular gear of hers was catching more wind than the others, her garment, the Fallen Angel Wings. As she turned her body in the air the wings somehow caught that wind and cause her to glide in any particular directly wildly.
"Eh?! but... its just an armor, it was purely for aesthetics and stats.. clothes and gear never were functional like you would imagine.."
This idea made her curious, after all it was now or never and she was so close to hitting the ground now that she really had nothing to lose. She began trying to move the wings with her mind. After all, the Wings have no real bone to bone connection, it was all magically connected since its just an equipment. Equipment is removable and exchangeable so It made no sense for gear to act like what we would imagine it would be in real life.
Somehow this theory worked, she was able to make the wings move ever so slightly but she had no idea how to control it.
Freaking out about this causes the wings to send her into a spin dive toward the ground. This so called non-functional gear is seemingly more realistic than it leads on. At least now in this new version of Ragnarok.
"Eeeyaaah how is this possible?! its just an equipment, how am i able to control it!? Its not even connected to my body! It just has some weird aura to keep it on my back.."
In her panic as she spins she manages to open the wings much wider and that catches a lot more wind causing her to glide and break her fall enough for her to tumble through a few trees and bushes to the ground, landing somewhat safely.
Her heart beats rapidly as she tries to comprehend what just happened, taking a few minutes to catch her breath. Once she gathers her composure again she quickly opens her menu and searches her inventory for animal ears to test her theory.
She finds her Wickebine's Black Cat Ears and quickly puts them on.
"I hope this works"
She sighs and begins thinking of moving the cat ears around. As she thinks the ears respond to her every thought, every emotion.
"This is so unreal... Gear that has an organic origin like animal ears and like these wings respond to our thoughts and emotions as if they were connected to us. They can be used outside of just being gear!"
She begins rummaging through her inventory again and finds a Heroic Backpack and equips it.
When she equips it she notices it feels real light and empty, she grabs it and tries to open it revealing that it also has a hidden compartment for storing items.
"Everything is so functional..."
She quickly puts everything back in her inventory and storage and re-equips her main gears. As she stands up she sighs heavily and says, "This is just so much more than i imagined, its a little bit much to take in...."
As she sighs her Fallen Angel Wings respond to her emotion by drooping a bit.
"I don't know if i can get used to this but.. maybe i should try. After all it might prove to be a useful asset in the near future."
Looking around she notices that its mid day now, she set off early morning from Lighthalzen and finally made it to... Well.. wherever this place is.
"Wait a minute, where am i anyways? Hmm.. I remember seeing Payon and Alberta in the distance when i was on the airship so maybe I'm in Payon forest? Eh.. this is kind of far from where i was wanting to go..."
Looking around she checks her map and sure enough she just so happens to be in the Alberta zone. Two maps away from Alberta town as a matter of fact.
Seeing Wormtails, Boas, and Spores pass her by she feels slightly threatened only remembering her first experience with the monsters around Lighthalzen harassing her. She takes it slowly and is extra cautious hoping these low leveled mobs wont harass her too.
As she sees the portal in the distance to the map directly next to Alberta she smiles lightly and picks up her pace. Not paying attention to the spore that was in front of her, she trips over it.
"Squeeeeeee!"
"Eeh!" -thump-
She falls to the ground next to the spore, turning towards it as she gets up it looks rather agitated. Somehow tripping over the monster engaged a battle with this passive mushroom.
"Aw.. i didn't want to have to fight anything yet. I haven't had a chance to practice in this new system. Thanks to Lighthalzen being so ridiculous" She hesitantly calls out a skill from her skill list. "F-fire Wall!"
-Boom-
Flames swirl up in front of her in the shape of a wall blocking the path between her and the spore. But the spore charges onward into the flames, squeaking as it gets burned.
"Hehe... its kind of funny to see monsters act dumb like that. Reminds me of the old days." She giggles and watches as the spore continues to run into the flames and get burned. Just then other spores in the area begin watching and glaring.
Getting nervous she quickly stands up and casts another fire wall.
"Wait... spores are not assist... but they don't look too friendly.... maybe i should cast another one.... F-fire Wall!"
Another set of flames swirl around into the form of a wall and the surrounding spores charge, spores who were in front of the wall proceed to ram into the flames getting burned and taking damage while spores who were not in the path of the wall begin attacking her. A single spore getting agitated quickly turned into twenty aggressively attacking.
"Ow ow!!!"
The spores kept tackling her trying to beat her down in numbers, her hp dropped 20 points from this onslaught of spores that just never ended.
"S-storm Gust!" she yelled.
The air surrounding her and the spores suddenly got chilly and a cloud formation began appearing in the area around her, suddenly ice crystals began forming and shards spun rapidly in the vortex forming. A realistic looking storm was conjured and damaged all the spores attacking her, killing them all in one shot.
As the clouds cleared there were strawberries littered all over the place along with mushroom spores. She quickly picked up the items and looked around her noticing the coast was clear.
Taking a deep breath she sighed once more saying,"This day just gets more eventful by the minute, but i really should go to Alberta to at least save just in case.."
That said she quickly walks toward the portal and gets teleported to the next map. Upon entering the next map she can see the gate that was the entrance to Alberta town. Carefully walking onward, making sure to not trip over anymore monsters, Hope goes to her refuge.
Walking up to the gate she notices there's no one there, feeling slightly disheartened at the lack of players she continues on.
"Hello welcome to Alberta, the harbor town. I am a Kafra Employee, how may i serve you?"
"Oh, um save please!"
"Of course. Your save point has now been set to Alberta. May i do anything else for you?"
"N-no that's quite fine, thank you very much"
"No problem at all, please come to me again if you need assistance."
After changing Hope's save point, the Kafra bows politely and smiles.
Feeling a bit more relieved now that her save point has been secured in a more reasonable location, Hope walks onward toward the docks passing by the many buildings in Alberta.
"If i go to the docks i can warp to Izlude from the boat there and then i can make my way to Prontera. I just hope that i can find someone before night falls. I am not liking having to retreat to local inns alone.. It gets pretty lonesome, especially since i haven't been able to interact with anyone for a few days.."
Halfway walking to the docks she sees someone in the distance, as she closes the gap she notices a female assassin cross.
"Finally! a person i can talk to!"
She begins to walk faster toward the person when she realizes who she sees. As her vision clears up she notices that this particular assassin looks very familiar. Tears begin to well up in her eyes as she rushes to the assassin.
"Z-zero?! waah!"
Crying from relief, frustration from her ordeal, and happiness she staggers along the way and her wings catch flight. Not thinking of anything more than glad to see her friend she glides her way to Zero as she glomps her.
Zero widens her eyes in slight disbelief and shock.
"Urgg.. Hope??"
Hope nods slowly as the tears begin falling rapidly.
"Uh-huh... Oh am i so glad to see you. I had been trapped for quite a while... and now i can't even log out anymore! i thought i would never see anyone again... "
Sitting on the floor Zero reassures her friend that it will be alright.
"I am more confused at how you ended up here, and did i just see you Fly? How in the world did you do that? ..I just arrived here with Tkwan and Toxn. We were heading to the Inn to meet up with the others."
Hope sniffles a bit and looks around her saying, "..The others?"
"Yes. We are all in a party as a matter of fact, we had some uh.. interesting things to discuss. But now that you are here, well this is rather surprising." Zero says as she begins to stand up.
"So how did you get here anyways? You didn't take a Kafra warp did you? And uh about that Flying thing..."
Looking confused Hope replies, "Huh? um well no, i got here by the airship... but well that sort of didn't work out for me.. As a matter of fact it was because of the airship that i discovered that gear can be functional. I swear that airship was out to get me, i felt like it wanted to kill me..." She sighs heavily and looks to the ground.
Zero looks at her with concern and questions, "The airship? Why what happened? I am glad you are alright though. What do you mean by that anyways?"
Hope begins explaining to Zero what she discovered about certain gears functioning the way they would in real life. Following that she explains that she thinks it has something to do with how we can use life skills in the game as well. As they talk Hope tells Zero her story of how she was stuck for 3 days in Lighthalzen with no contact with people aside from NPC's, how she could not walk or warp out and had many map failures, how all of her characters were saved in Lighthalzen, that the monsters in the field literally made it impossible to pass by and killed her sending her back to Lighthalzen, and she explains that is how she discovered she could hone her cooking skills in game and use them the same way she does in real life all during that time of isolation. It wasn't until today that she was able to finally escape by the airship.
Zero says with more concern,"I see. That sounds really rough, but at least you are here now. Unfortunately this is not really the time to get comfortable because there seems to be a lot more to this game than we all really think."
Hope looks at Zero slightly confused again but understands, considering all the hell she went through just to get to Alberta, she could only imagine what Zero and the others might have gotten into.
"Come on, lets go meet the others. I told Tkwan and Toxn to go regroup with the rest of the party in the inn. I'm sure they will be surprised to see you too. We can discuss everything that happened when we get there." Zero says with a ever so slight smile as she leads the way.
Hope quickly gets up and wanders close behind Zero saying, "Oh.. okay. I am so glad i ran into you. I'm glad that i'll be able to see everyone again" Cheering up a bit she smiles and walks on happily awaiting to meet her comrades.
