Its really hard to pick out the best anime youve seen after watching more than 150+. Personally, i just say this or that is good if its enjoyable. If it made me cry because it was heartwrenching, bittersweet or just made me happy, i can tell it is a good anime. Its also difficult to say which one i enjoyed the most, since i can enjoy every anime differently. Its alsways different aspects, like how the characters interact, the world they live in, what its about or its just eyecandy. Good anime to watch you wont regret:
Noir
Serial Experiments Lain
Casshern
JoJo
One Outs
Angel Beats
Kara no Kyoukai (especially the last 2 movies are masterpieces, mirai fukuin excluded)
Kuro-_-suji(if youre into subtext yaoi)
Girls und Panzer
Kore wa Zombie desu ka?
Hunter x Hunter
Non non Biyori
Hanasaku Iroha( nano.RIPE is doing wonderful music)
Black Rock Shooter(many tell you its -_-, but i liked it)
Mahou Shoujo Madoka
Nanoha movies
Bakemonogatari(if you can, read the light novels too)
To aru Majutsu no Index/Railgun
.Hack//SIGN
Log Horizon
Clannad
NHK ni youkoso
Fullmetal Alchemist(not Brotherhood until the second half of the show)
Aria
Chihayafuru
Denpa Onna no Seishun Otoko
Gosick
Durarara
GJ-Bu
Hyouka(say about the mysteries what you want, it sure was entertaining)
Ore no Seishun Rabu kome wa machigatteiru
Jormungand
Kill me Baby
Joshiraku(if you understand the jokes, its hardcore japanese)
Toradora
Yuru Yuri
Ano Hana(damn i still leak if i hear the ending)
Beck
Claymore(pick up the manga after episode 23-24ish)
Mawaru penguindrum(god, if you get the messages its mindblowing)
Samurai Champloo(the soundrack alone carries the whole series on its back. R.I.P nujabes TT_TT)
Steins;Gate(read the VN too)
Chaos;Head(read ONLY the VN lol)
Shigofumi
Haibane Renmei
...
...i could go on, but these are the ones that i can get ontop of my mind and that are not "mainstream" or must sees to get into anime like Death Note or Code Geass. Some shows to pick up from our current ending season:
Kuro-_-suji Book of Circus
Aldnoah Zero
Akame ga Kiru(the manga is abit more serious)
Himegoto
Yama no Susume
Ao Haru Ride
Barakamon
Again, Hunter x Hunter, yes its that good
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Sabagebu
Zankyou no Terror
Francesca
Hanayamata
Sword Art Online 2(its actually pretty decent, you can tell the writer got more experienced)
Well, i hope some people got some new anime to watch, and if already watched all of them, hey, atleast you know how to pick up your anime~

Well Lain is kind of unique, but there are anime that follow some of the "mindfks" such as Texhnolyze. Or if you like the directior of Lain, watch Kino no Tabi. I would strongly recommend the second one, its really really really good. Too sad that Nakamura passed away TT_TT

For TV series, I still have a lot of affection for Cowboy Bebop. They created an interesting world that hadn't really been done before and told some very varied and interesting stories.
Hands down cowboy bebop for me.

Watching Space Dandy right now and it's really really good. Sort of like Cowboy Bebop with the drama replaced with more comedic stuff, which is fine by me.
Actually since Shinichiro Watanabe directed both Excel Saga and Cowboy Bebop it's like a 50-50 mix of those.
