Just did an ET run earlier today and whenever somebody casted Praefatio, it was acting funny. At first I thought just I wasn't getting the skill icon, but still had it. So then I walked into a monster and it hit me for damage, and no Kyrie Eleison animation showed at all. However, whenever I casted single target KE, it worked fine on me. Not sure what caused it to go crazy. I also had Assumptio, and casted Praefatio, and it I didn't get the barrier AND I still had the assumptio on.

 

I'm unsure of what would have caused that, and it's pretty annoying.

That's so mean. Short answer is that Assumptio and  Praefatio cannot be used at the same time - they overwrite each other.

In this case she said Praefatio is not overwriting Assumptio, rather Assumptio is preventing Praefatio to have no effect at all when casted - thus need to wait Assumptio to wear off first before Praefatio can be casted.

Oh was it because of the GTBs? I never even thought of that. If so that would explain it lmao.

 

And I know Praef overrwrites Assumptio and vice versa. The KE wasn't cancelling out the Assumptio, which shouldn't happen. And it wasn't the assumptio was preventing it, because this happened even without having assumptio on. (That was mostly to test and see if I was just not getting it, or if I was and just no icon or whatever.)

GTB is like Mechanics, gotta put those users at the bottom of the party to not break AB skills or just make sure they have the GTB off. Sounds like that was the issue.
