Patch Notes v491

 

Veteran's Weekend Event - Free Energy & Refine Event ends

Game Arena Energy costs will return to normal, we hope you all enjoyed the weekend playing within the various Game Arena experiences!

Refine rates will be returning to normal, we hope you all were able to achieve those higher grades over the weekend!

 

Game Arena - Dungeon Monster balances

There was a miscommunication regarding the dungeon monster balancing and in effect, two avenues of monster status tweaking was done without being aware of one another. This is what caused the high difficulty of monsters from dungeons. Now, as I have reviewed all the posts and feedback, a lot of the complaints are only in regards to the dungeons. This only solidifies the fact that it was the 'double balance' to dungeon monsters that this happened.

  • Dungeon Monster stats are getting corrected.

Monster Balances

There was also a global monster balance that affected monster's ability to dodge and seems to have caught players a bit off guard and unable to fight against some of these new high dodge rate monsters.

  • In light of this, we will be giving/refreshing the Testimony of Retraining skill, ALL characters will have up to 24 hours of active game time to find a new stat build.
  • Also Clerics Job & Unique Skill Resets will be correctly refreshed.

Bug Fixes

  • Over the weekend we corrected the crash issue that was relating to when a player would buy or sell an item through vend.

FYI my lvl 200 knight is going to sacri tank krawfy for my muse to aoe, if u want to join me message magick or tell me on forum!

 my ,muse is only lvl 35ish tho

When's that update coming that Leonis was talking about that lets you see what gear other people are wearing? This way parties can kick the noobs that wear PvP gear in dungeons!

Does that mean any correct for the general monsters ? cause my characters seem will never hit 230 in orlo and takes for ever to level up m as well as the kings takes long time to be killed :\ so ... ??

When's that update coming that Leonis was talking about that lets you see what gear other people are wearing? This way parties can kick the noobs that wear PvP gear in dungeons!

Increase a bit of challenge to monsters overall. There was a significant lacking in monster balance, as just about every monster had only close to 10% damage reduction throughout the game play. That wasn't intended and through improved mechanics and tools, we adjusted their stats to be more where we had wanted them to be, especially with the skill update in consideration, players have a greater potential to penetrate or reduce monster stats and have an impacting difference.

 

Consider, reducing a target's defense by 10%, wouldn't look like much because their defenses were already so low. But now, a monster with a high amount of defense, will now be notable easier to defeat, when a 10% defense down status is applied. Likewise, it will also be notably stronger, without such a debuff applied, some classes will wish to consider alternative means or builds, to get through fights with certain monster class types.

 

a free skill reset would be necessary too. Not only stat. 

The stat reset is because we adjusted monster's stats and dodge values.

If you recall, or anyone for that matter, I stated in a previous patch note that the player accuracy and dodge generation rates are something that we're going to be addressing by the end of this month. Because of that, I didn't want to put a lot of stress over this particular change just yet. When the player side of accuracy / dodge, goes in to effect, there very likely will be an offered reset, but perhaps not one as long as the 24 hour one.

I feel like it's impossible to solo in orlo now. Im not complaining about the kings, they're fine. They're supposed to be difficult. But the normal mobs shouldn't be as hard. Compared to the mobs in Sikuku Ruins (Pantharis and Tigris), the Orlo mobs (Desert Scavengers) take 2-3x longer to kill. And their yielded exp only differs by 10-15k, which is definitely not worth the time.

How long has the server been down? Maybe they are fixing the dungeons, because the dungeons I thought were harder now than before they "fixed" them! :)

oh...what happen in dungeon ? plz dev. play rose online w/ valor armor or reinforce w/ +15...and you now what u correct

also in orlo ithink this patch is much worst that patch 490 :(
