I'm having trouble finding some guides on PVP builds. the iRO wiki seems outdated and a lot of the stuff on here is before a lot of the Trap/Rainstorm nerfs. So my question is basically, whats a decent stat build for a PVP build? Are Shadow Formation SC's still a thing???

my build currently:

str 50

agi 50

vit 50

int 40

dex 99

A PVP build imo would consist on high DEX, INT, and VIT since it will be viable in WoE also. Anyhow, Shadow Chasers are a PVP oriented class so a DEX/INT/VIT build will never go wrong. Your build currently looks more like a hybrid build to me, which is fine for PVP.

Have you taken a look at my guide? It's fairly updated.

http://forums.warppo...erchaser-guide/

It doesn't matter what build you have at end-game, but 100 total Vit is highly recommended. This is especially true for WoE. kyrios91 has pointed out the basics already. You really can't go wrong with Vit, Int, and Dex. Str can be used for Masquerade resistance, because it increases your overall Weight Limit. Agi will help you with your cast animation for certain skills and also helps you resist Masquerades a little better.

The formula for Masquerade success and resistances is in the Balance Patch notes in my guide.

Another thing: Severe Rainstorm was never a thing Chasers should have used for WoE. They were never a main killing class, aside from Shadow Form pre-nerf and Fire Trap pre-nerf. Even then it was easy to out-pot Fire Trap. You shouldn't have died to it if you weren't underleveled though. They're better off as a support/debuff/annoyance from the get-go. That's what Fire Trap was. It was there to slow down your enemies or annoy them.

Shadow Forming to kill players isn't a thing and never really was a thing in the first place. It was so easy to counter Shadow Form back then and it's even easier to counter it now. Then again, the unaware can still fall for it. Revealing skills like Ruwach and Sight will remove Shadow Form from a Chaser extremely easily now, so it's not recommended for you to spam it at all. You're better off doing other things.

Rapid Throw is the new skill you can use for killing single targets by chance though, but it can get expensive and will miss quite often.

so based off of your guide, I'm seemingly a IB build. hmmm I guess I'll be working on my int and vit next once I get enough job levels. I for one just hate bows but realize its great for party lvling. I guess agi and str are gonna be the last things I focus on more so on str.

I think you have enough Int for leveling for now. Just focus on Str an Vit for the time being.

Here's a thread with some good discussions regarding the use of Ignition Break:

If needed, you could still play as a support role in parties by copying Frost Nova for keeping monsters in check. Other than boss-protocol and Undead type monsters, you can basically get anything Frozen after spamming Frost Nova. It's perfect for Ranger's AS. With the way Renewal currently works, even Water type monsters can get Frozen by Frost Nova.

No. Reproduce allows you to copy 3rd class skills and non-Trans skills though. Rapid Throw on the otherhand is considered a non-Trans 2nd class skill, so it can be copied by Intimidate.

So in essence, you can copy two non-Trans non-3rd class skills. One via Intimidate and one via Reproduce. For tough places like Biolabs, you should place something like Frost Nova in Reproduce instead of Intimidate in the case you wipe out and can't Preserve in time.

No, they're not used in PVP as a Chaser. Combat Knife is something you'll want to get if you're PVPing though.

Why is Int needed for a WoE support Chaser? I mean you need Vit for survivability, Dex for strip/masquerade success, Agi for masquerade resistance, and Str for weight,  so why Int? if its just for spamming your skills then i can simply carry sp recovery items.

Int provides several things for a Chaser:

1) Silence immunity

2) Larger SP pool and SP regenerated from SP restorative items
3) Variable Cast Time Reduction!

4) Resistance to Oblivion Curse from GX

Also, don't forget that you normally need a combination of Dex and Int in order to reach instant-cast without 100% cast reduction gears.

The past few months, I've reset my build probably 5 times, and tried out different levels of int, ranging from 8 base to 80 base. 8 was too low, and I had to use waayyy too many sp items. I was going through like 50 boxes of WoE violets per WoE.

At 80 int, I probably used 15 boxes max.

Sitting at 38 base right now, and its pretty good. The lowest id probably ever go would be 20.

100 int doesn't really matter. Silence isn't a real issue, and it won't help you with oblivion curse, which requires 120 int.

You'll need a good amount of int though, if you don't plan on going insta cast through gear.
