Markers have this really charming look to them, don't they! And the turkey looks really cute, ha ha. :heh:

i actually dont like markers as much as color pencils cuz i can never seem to stop markers from getting those streaks... tho the color tends to be richer i just dont feel like i have the control... im also REALLY out of practice...

Those are still rather good even for being a beginner lol

The improvement over each picture is clearly visible, you managed to express your unique style even in digital format ^^

I had friends before that have had a very hard time switching mediums. Usually ending in them being dissatisfied at the clear differences in their style across them all and retreating back to what they normally do. xD

A little too early for that kind of tutorial, Oda. Doing clean shading like that requires use of layers, which you can't really do in MS Paint.

my cousin is supposed to be sending me her Wacom tablet and a copy of photoshop to play around with and see if i like it...

Learning how to work in layers via Photoshop is amazing. I hope you would take time to learn the program a bit more before dumping it. :3 Using a tablet is pretty tricky since it requires a lot of getting used to. I do all my Photoshop work with a mouse since I just can't get myself to look at a computer screen while drawing, but maybe you'll get the hang of it better than me.

Not entirely true.

I used this method for digital art before I got my tablet and better drawing programs. It's extremely convenient and easy once you understand the commands.

Once you get the hang of it, you can achieve results as below:

Hope it helps.

I know there's some sort of layering feature in MS Paint, but it's a real pain to fix if you mess up since it's so limited. If Facekiller has the patience for it, then why not.

GIMP is sort of a free alternative to Photoshop. Those of us in the office without a PS license use it, it's certainly not as robust but if you're looking for a decent (and affordable) art tool it does a lot of the same stuff.
