Checked a few posts about them and the wiki http://irowiki.org/wiki/Soul_linker.

 

Seems like the esma bolter isn't good anymore?

 

What about the PVM Battle one , the Ka-melee-type and Spirit-melee-type? Actually, what's the difference between PVM Battle and the Ka-melee-type if both use a Dagger of Counter?

 

What's the max level for Soul Linker? I was assuming the 2nd expanded class could go to 150 base but maybe not?

You're stuck at 99 forever as of now. Esma bolters got trashed by matk in renewal, it's totally not worth it. I leveled a linker to 99 with dagger of counter str/agi/vit with kahii and it was pretty painless. I did dump buffs on myself from my sura(bless agi gentle touch) but other than that it was really easy. Up to 99 on non trans doesn't take long at all anymore. Not sure what you mean by spirit melee type.

 

I have one agi/str dagger of counter linker atm the rest are full support builds reset from dagger of counter builds or leeched.

Thanks for the esma confirmation.

The spirit melee type seems to be one that take spirits skills instead of Ka- skill. Though i can still have 3-4 spirits maxed, with all the Ka. Not really an issue i guess.

 

Glad to see they level well. =) A bit bummed that soon they'll be the only class that can't get past 99, but i'll still make it. Sounds fun and people will surely like the few spirit buffs i have.

If you don't plan on pvp/woe'ing you do not need Kaite. It's pvp only now pretty much because of the 4x damage you take from non magical hits. You cast it on people you want to die, not yourself/allies anymore. Stuff you'd want is like kaupe, kahii, spirit of linker for sure. Other than that it's really up to you. Bard/dancer link is good as well as rogue.

Yeah, i knew Kaite was too dangerous for the caster to be usefull in PVM. All the other Ka- spells are good though?

Spirit of linker... i though you couldn't cast it on yourself? Wouldn't it be hard to find another soul linker in the party?

 

Rogue and Performer are good noted! Sage and wizard are probably good too? Some don't seem too usefull, since the 3rd classes don't use the skill anymore (double straf for hunter?)

Just in case you ever work with another linker... like ever.

 

Wizard can be useful, sage can be theoretically useful for leveling for sure.

Normaly people make 2 linkers one for play with it and other to link the first one, i ususlly have one in the respawn point of the other to link it.

may i ask with the str/agi/vit build?how many dex or int did u put on anyway!?
