I am too, in another thread we made the observation that the 83.RTP patch file keeps getting larger with each attempt at patching, so it just keeps adding the contents instead of redownloading it. Someone went from 83mb to 465 mb after about 3 patch attempts, and I've been getting similar results. Until someone comes up with a better solution, just keep trying to patch and maybe it'll get there...sigh.

So far on a wireless connection, the patch has gotten up to about 300mb ish with at least 25 attempts. On my hard wired computer I've made it up to about 1gb (how big is this patch anyway holy crap) on about 5 attempts. The real problem is the binding takes forever when you know it's just going to fail, and it won't let you close the launcher without force closing it in task manager...and who's to say that won't corrupt the whole file and make it start from scratch?

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

EDIT: If I can at least get one of these to patch completely, I'm going to test moving the completed patch to the other system to see if that will get it done (both using the same OS and Steam). If it does I'll post here, although that could be a case by case basis depending on what client you're using and what OS you have.  :wah:

EDITEDIT: So I've gotten all the way to 84.rtp (HOLY CRAP) before it error'd out. Will post any other updates...

(Last post was getting a bit messy, so new post.)

I've gotten one computer to update completely (hard wired internet) but my other computer is having issues still. Switched that to hard wire so it'll be faster but I'm up to at least 50 launcher starts now. I figured a trick to get the file to download faster but I'm not sure if the binding will take...posted this in the other thread:

I've gotten it to where it's downloaded the full file, but it's kinda humorous how I got it there...

Basically, when it says downloading, it's actually downloading part of the file. However, when it starts binding (which has been the longest parts of this process) it doesn't download anything new (the file size only changes once the downloading message is about to change to binding). So I opened task manager and force closed the Launcher2.exe process when it started binding, restarted the launcher, rinse, repeat. The binding is still taking a long time however. Will post if this ends up working.

My friend said it's 1.08 gb patch (not quite sure tho)  :hmm:

My third attempt continue to go on but I am quite afraid  of the binding because i might get "patch failed" just like before  :sob:

Put those in the Patches folder of the game map. Run the patcher and voila!
