Qpid is back, Roserians!


It's that time again, love is in the air but unfortunately the stalwart bringer of romance: Qpid is not! It appears as though our cherubic friend has crash-landed in Adventurer's Plains and needs your help to complete his mission! Any Characters that are level 120 and up will have to take Qpid's list and deliver love throughout Junon, Luna, and Eldeon. If you complete this, he may be willing to reward you with his very own bow... not like he needs it anymore.


To complete this lovely mission, players will need to gather up the rare world drop Magic Heart Candies that the local monsters find quite tasty. If you can recover enough of them, you may be able to use their power to complete Qpid's mission! If you are too low leveled for the quest, there is no need to worry! Qpid will gladly exchange the candies for the fun and useful event items that everyone can enjoy! Remember! Magic Heart Candies go bad after 2 weeks, so they will have to be removed after the event so YOU don't get sick! Just be sure to spend all your Candies before the event ends!


In addition to this, it seems Qpid's arch rival and nemesis the dreaded Pinkheart Pork-Fiend has invaded Orlo! This eccentric flying pig can dish out a ton of punishment, but if you can defeat this challenging menace... he may drop his hammer or a rare mini Qpid pet summon skill book! The resilient nuisance seems to spawn every 20 minutes and prefers the climate of a nice desert Oasis (especially those at the Gates of Murris, The Wastelands, and The Wasteland Ruins Patch). Do you have the bacon to take him down?!


Love, candied hearts, chocolate, and flying bacon... All the things that make up a traditional Valentine's Day will be available from February 10th, 2014 to February 25th, 2014 so don't miss out!

my friend having some issue on the latest patch.

 

after he updated the patch, he clicked onto the "start" button.

but he couldnt start the client as nothing happens.

 

any ways to help?

So the client starts up and it's a black screen? How long do they wait?

He rotates around on different maps, but he spawns at an oasis each time. You just have to find which map, then follow him around to find his rotation cycle. Or ask someone that knows. I do not know his complete rotation cycle. I do know that one spot, is the oasis in Wastelands Ruins Path, near the Gates of Muris, then he spawns at the Gates of Muris, then I think the next spot is South Wastelands, at the oasis on the far west side. I think he spawns every 20 minutes.

i realised Pinkheart Pork-Fiend's drops (except the Magic Heart Candies) can be looted by any random players even if not hitting on the pig . i find it unfair for players who even spend lots of time waiting and killing the pig after respawn on spot.

 

is it a bug or suppose to work that way?

It has been this way with all the event bosses, and GM spawned bosses since I started playing. I too, feel that is wrong. You spend quite a bit of time, hacking away at these things, meanwhile ppl are standing around with their speed gears on, just waiting for it to die, so they can loot.

There's only one exception to that one and that is the superfighter parts that drop from superbosses. However, the rest of the drops are all free to be picked up by anyone. Which is rather ridiculous, since the ones who actually are killing it have no time to pick much up.

I've always hated it that when there was a superboss event, the multicolored small astarot wings would always go to some (or several if there were multiple from the same boss) max lvl who's spamming pickup on speed gear.

i really do hope they will change the system just to be more fair to those who been working so hard on farming for the drops.
