Writer, Director and Actor Harold Ramis passed away this week, leaving behind a legacy of amazing films from the 80s and 90s. Quirky character actor and my personal favorite Ghostbuster, he brought deadpan humor to the characters he played, delivering some of the finest one liners in a film chock full of them.
During college, he was writing for newspapers, eventually becoming Playboy's joke editor. He would later join the staff of National Lampoon, and become the head writer and performer on legendary Canadian comedy show SCTV. He found great success in the movies, writing and directing National Lampoon's vacation, Ghostbusters and Groundhog Day. He wrote for Bill Murray comedies Stripes, Meatballs and Caddyshack.
Also he made Multiplicity.
We salute a immensely talented and funny person and offer condolences to his family. RIP Egon.
