Hi,

I would like to know as well. I have been working on this for a while and I am thinking about giving up on the game all together.

It's sad since I like the class but I do not know any other class which has SUCH a handicap.

Has anyone ever reset their maps? If so, do you have to keep spamming the "/doridori" command even after you enter "Happy Break" mode?

Thanks,

Sladeero

You can reset the map (just really low chance).

TaeKwon Masters can reset maps designated as Places of the Sun/Moon/Stars. The TaeKwon Master must be sitting beside another TaeKwon class (Soul Linker, TaeKwon Kid or another TaeKwon Master) and be regenerating HP (that is, your HP must not be full). It is speculated that being in Happy Mode is also required. Spamming the /doridori emote repeatedly is not necessary, but it is needed to enter Happy Mode. You can tell that you are in Happy Mode because you regenerate an additional +3 SP over the regular Happy Break effects. The chance to reset the maps occurs every 10 seconds (on each Peaceful Break HP tick). In order to ensure that you are continually regenerating HP, you can switch an HP-increasing item on and off, or use something which drains HP, like a rideword hat, combined with low HP regeneration. The chance of the reset occurringis very low, sometimes taking many hours or days to be successful.

I can see why they call this person a Star Gladiator. You really have to wait for the STARS TO ALIGN to make the darn character worth playing. FCOL!!!

I cannot find ANY TK characters willing to sit down for hours while my hands get carpal tunnel screwing with items back and forth to keep my HP and SP at a 10% margin. There is NO WAY this is ever going to happen. I feel like the circus guy balancing a friggin dish set with 2 sticks.

Can we have a quest or something to reset the maps??!! I would rather pay $50 each time I want to reset my maps than this crap.

Sorry, I know I am speaking to the choir on this. Just frustrating trying to find the multiple, right items which are $40M-$50M zeny EACH.

BTW- anyone who thinks I am not patient has not seen me WASTING my hours over the weeks trying to get this silly trick to kick in.

It's only HP that needs to be not full. Not 10% margin. As long as its not full is what it needs to be.

Pineyman,

Understood, the 10% margin was just a reference to the fact I can't get my HP down far enough without a mad, hand sprint on the keyboard.

Even removing the armor only removes about 1150 HP and the HP restore I have right now, with the /doridori is 330 HP. So there's no room for resting.

I have tried to look at cards to decrease my HP but could not find anything in the game. My concern is, I don't want to have to hit the doctor's office and explain my symptoms are the result of a silly trick on a game ;-) .

Additionally, when you switch the armor off your HP goes back to 100% for a split second which to my understand resets the trick so you can never get ahead.

Finally, the only 2 TKs found are bots and they constantly stand up and re-SoulLink which cause the HP trick to reset again as well.

It's one thing to do hours....days...into weeks worth of work to know you will find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately, the definition of insanity, is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I do appreciate the information, and I will try to keep at it a little longer. However, there comes a time when someone has to say enough is enough.

I really liked the fact Ragnarok Online offered something different than the simple hack-slash repetition. It's just sad that it takes something incredible and destroys it.

I just wish the developers wouldn't play government and not listen to the people's wishes. It's plain and clear folks are unhappy with the TKM setup.

Pineyman,

Already thought of that and it is in the works  :thumb2:  . May have to steal a family member's computer for the night.

On the topic of switching the armor off and on. Since the HP does go back to 100% for a split second have you heard if that resets the trick?

I read somewhere that each time you get the trick right (every 10 secs) it adds .1%  (point 1%) to the chance formula. Just want to make sure I am reading that right.

Thanks again for the responses. I am sure once I get it I will likely do a victory dance around the house....LOL.

Folks,

I have to say, the map reset trick DOES WORK!!!

I was kind of skeptical, but I finally got around to adding VIT and HP cards to my shield and books. It helped spread out the gap

between my max HP and the HP it was at when I started the trick.

I was in Happy Break and Restful Break when doing it.

- HP restore (Normal = 300; Added = 330)

- SP restore (Normal = 16; Added = 19)

It took about 5-10 mins (NOT THE NORM I might add)

There was an angel that looked just like the angel when you level up and in purple letters at the top it said the typical, "Your maps and ....have been reset."

Hope this helps. I was getting kind of upset about this.

I'm having the same issue.  Tempted to just remake TKM.

Unreal that there's no kafra shop item that resets this crap.

Three7's,

Sorry, I forgot to add; I had recently upgraded my account to VIP to get to some other areas.

I have the funny feeling the VIP account has a greater percent chance of resetting the skills.

That is NOT confirmed. Just something interesting I noticed where after hours and hours of trying with a regular account; I get it in 5-10 minutes with a VIP account. I am not saying to get a VIP account. What I am saying is this:

1) Make sure you set the "/doridori" function with a quick hotkey e.g. "ALT + 1". You have to do this 6 times every 10 secs to get the extra SP/HP with the "break skills." I noticed if you do it too quick the game will not register it. Or maybe it was just my keyboard ;-) . Remember, this is a marathon and not a race.

2) Have armor/items on that increased your HP/SP so you can switch it on and off to keep the process going. You can use cards to help with this. I have some armor sets/books I use just to speed up the reset process if I have to do it again later.

3) Ensure you have "Happy Break" and "Restful Break" skills (hence step 2). Ensure you get the extra HP and possibly SP, keep track of that. There are Taekwon folks who hang out in Prontera you can sit by to get this done.

NOTE: As mentioned, when it works you will see the same Angel as when you get a "base level up." You will also see "PURPLE" lettering at the top stating the cosmic settings have been reset. If you want to check it out. Go to a map you originally had setup with a cosmic alignment and try one of the "Heat" skills. DO NOT use "perception". If the TKM "heat" skill does not work when it used to, then you know you got it right.

UPDATED NOTE: Depending on how often you want to reset maps will determine if you want to devote more skill points to the Taekwon Kid skils or more to the cosmic areas. The Neuralizer items can help with this skill reset. After you buy Warp Portal points and convert them to Kafra points it comes out to around $4 USD or less for one. Otherwise you will pay around $50m (million) zeny on the game's market. For that you have to be in a town and have ZERO weight. Meaning you dump everything into the Kafra storage and use up any items that are bound to the character AND have a weight. Some items are bound to a character but do NOT have any weight...e.g. 0 weight.

Hope this helps.
