so after I just patched my client I have a window pop up now and closes the game the window msg says

 

The procedure entry point def cps.uncompress could not be located in dynamic link library cps.dll.

 

 

 

question is wtf is this and do I need to down load the client all over again?

One of my friend had this problem and I suspect the problem is that one of the dlls (cps.dll) got corrupt so I replaced all the dlls in his folder and it worked. You can try the same.

I am getting the same error now, though I was able to log in shortly after the patch.  Anyone have a fix for this error?

was playing just fine earlier, now I got this error too, and it seems that many people getting this problem, so it must be on the server's end.

sigh they -_- deployed wrong again...I'm getting sick of this -_- how hard is it to follow simple instructions...

It was a fix due to renewal client not liking something we did in the replay interface.  However, when they deployed it tonight they forgot to include a file.

 

put those two files in your ragnarok directory and overwrite.

 

If you use the above suggested solution earlier in the thread, you will have issues with replay...its not a perma-solution

Update: Production Team is on the case.

A new patch just got pushed through, cps.dll and defcps.dll appear to be included and the game starts normally. Looks like all is well.

Nevermind... found the fix

I'm not getting an error at all, but I assume it's still because of this patch because it was working fine when i played on...Sunday maybe?

Forgot to run as admin like they posted on twitter or whatever the first time and the patcher ended up freezing to the point where i couldn't force quit from task manager/command prompt/etc and ended up restarting. Now it's running the patcher fine, but just crashes as soon as I hit play. No error message, just stops trying and Steam doesn't show me as playing anymore. I replaced the .dlls here and everything, but still nothing.
