I've been doing a lot of research on GX as I just got one (and my first 3rd class ever, finally, as an old player, I never had grinding patience until recently xD)
and to answer the question, the answer appears to be perhaps a durga, when it's highly refined and has a good card. I got one yesterday and has a lot of atk lol. So yeah it's a good looking katar you should check out. There may be better ones but I'm new to GX and that was just the answer of what I found to what's good with MVP/PvM.

Durga sucks unless it has hidden stats not listen in the desc or wiki page.

 

 

190 atk level 3, 1 slot

 

160 atk level 4, 1 slot, 2 malangdo enchant slots. 

 

Canceling:

 

30 atk lvl 3 weap

 

vs 0 atk lvl 4 weap with 2 malango enchant slots 

 

Difference is:

 

Durga has 30 more watk (under realistic assumption, 48 atk). 

 

So let's upgrade them to +9

 

Durga - 5*9 + 4*4 (avg overrefine bonus) = 45+16 - 61 atk

 

WBC - 7*9 + 5*7 = 98 atk

 

So 107 atk vs 98 atk - the durga is 9 atk better than the WBC at +9. At +10, that difference is 3, and at +11 and higher, the WBC is flat out better....

 

BUT WAIT - THAT ALL IS BEFORE THE MALANGDO ENCHANTS!

 

FS 5/5 (and 66 is practical to get) adds 36 atk (18 each)! This is sufficient to make the WBC better even at low refine rates - though being a GX, you might prefer to get Sharp enchants to raise your crit rate. 

 

If you plan to be using it as a crit weapon, you're probably best off with a Chakram, though, with two Aunoe cards in it and 2 sharp enchants. 

 

For RC, probably a FS enchanted WBC is the king.

What's the combo effect? There's no info in the database about the combo effect. Is it the +40% crit damage -10% max hp one? Is the effect working? And are you critting with it?

 

But there's no reason to expect that uncarded chakram could beat an uncarded durga, as both are level 3 weapons. Chakram is only better if you have two good cards in it. 

 

I mean, do the math, durga has 70 more watk, which means 115ish more atk equivilent, and FS 55 and the chakram effect doesn't even make up half of the difference. As a non-crit weapon, chakram is worse than both WBC and Durga. 

 

But Chakram should be better as a crit weapon, assuming your crit rate is near 100% and you have two of those +20% crit damage cards in it. Actually, with the sin handcuff, it that should bury every other option for crit damage.

I don't know why people keep thinking a Durga is the best weapon for a GX,when it is level 3  .

 

As Azzy said before,a WBC is a better weapon,preferably with FS14(if you're going the RC route or something,which is the best route for me).I happen to be selling an extra one of those if anyone wants by the way.For Crit builds though and mvping,I prefer a KVM katar actually for obvious reasons of course.
