Hi, just wondering what you guys would consider the most optimal mvp gear for a gx crit build with high aspd.

+10~12 Little Feather Hat of Thief [Angra Mantis Card]

BDM

Advanced Assassin Mask

+9~12 Glorious Jamadhar (for Demi-Humans) / +9~12 Double Fatal Chakram Aspd1, Sharp 3 or higher [2x Aunoe Card] (w/ Assassin Handcuffs, it gives + 40% Critical Damage, Crit +4 and -10% HP)

Brynhild, FS8~10 Nab Clothes of Wildcat, 4 Elemental Armors (Fire, Water, Wind and Earth)

+9 Immune [Raydric] or Mystic [Giant Whisper] HBP/FAW or +12 Special Agi, Fatal 3, Fatal 3 FAW

+9 Superior Enhanced Variants

Bakonawa + RT/Sincuff of Doubled Power (Owl Baron)/1RWC FS3, FS3, AGI3 Ring

 

Always bring elemental resist potion, panaceas

Get a Hallucination Walk,

Use celermine juice (Aspd+10%)

Some foods for stats

HP Increase

Aspersio scrolls for (Shadow, Undead or weak to Holy property)

Hmm, i see. i currently have;

 

+0LFH( Waiting on enriched for high upgrade )  

robo eye

balloon

+7Glorious jama ( waiting on enriched )

Sapha and Nab,  unsure if i should be carding them with elemental cards or using elemental armors instead . Don't have access to bryn.

 

+9immune hbp,  current build is optimized for hbp however, faw is obtainable.

regular variants, e.variants optainable.

Bakonawa, RT and glorious ring.  Was planning on using 2x bako, yay or nay

 

The main issue i seem to be running into is the lack of crit rate, i currently have 36 without RT. 

 

Should I use chakram with assassin's handcuffs for mvps instead of glorious jama?   It seems that i would lose the 193 proc.

Glorious Jama is good. Use chakram and sincuff if you get it to a higher upgrade for a better atk bonus, and only if you get a good enchants.. (not necessarily imo) Your set up is good.

I would suggest you get a 3x CRIT and/or Sharp enchanted +9 Sapha Shoes if you wanna go with the 2x Bako or any accessory comboe better than RT. Those Enchants would add atleast 15 crit rate. Shoes carded with Firelock or Odium of Thanatos if +12 imo.

So after trying out my gear setup;

 

+9 Little Feather Hat[Angra Mantis]

Robo Eyes

99 Balloons

Elemental Armors/Sapha Cloth/GR

+11 Glorious Jamadhar

+9 Immune HBP

+9 E.Variants[Firelock]

2x Bako

 

I've come to the conclusion, that I will indeed need to use 3xcrit/sharp Sapha Shoes if I intend to keep using 2x bako.

However, I have also thought that perhaps I could see higher dps with crits if i completely change my setup to:

 

+10-12 Chakram Aspd 2, 2x Aunoe w/assassin's handcuffs + bako

+9 Faw max aspd enchants w/ immune or dr

 

According to irowiki calculator, I will have about 1-2 more aspd than my previous setup and alot more crit dmg.

 

Please let me know if this would be a good setup, why or why not.  Thanks!

 

Although, there may be no one set that rules them all, I am trying to find a ideal setup for MVPing in general balancing in crit dmg and aspd + survival.

If money is no concern, the new gears that you are planning to get should be better. Although I will stick with the Jamadhar since it procs quite often as I see in other characters (yep i dont have one yet). 7% chance is really big IMHO.

 

Besides, you probably need to use manteau with element reduction cards in some MVPs, right? or it is not necessary now?

Yes,Gxs should wear elemental reduction garments when mvping depending on the mvp.They barely have any reducts as it is now,reason I refrain from using mine to mvp,unless the mvp is really easy to kill.
