I never bothered over-upgrading a vellum claymore but i once asked a guy who did and he said the dmg difference between +12 G.claymore and +12 V.claymore is pretty close but G.claymore always wins probably cause of the lvl2 Slaughter bonus damage.

 

Now as DPS weapons they both suck compared to vkatz the only use they have is for crush strike and in that case i would put my zeny on +12 g.claymore, if u cant +12 it then a +9 V.claymore will just as good if not better.

 

Other options are a G.spear for those cases that u need a shield in order to crush strike someone.

If I had the choice between a +9 vellum or glorius claymore, I personally choose the vellum.

 

The vellum has adequate damage for crush strike [1hit KO most players], but the selling point for me is;
If refined to +9 or higher, has a chance of reflecting damage of physical and magic attacks as well as a chance to cast Magic Mirror.
It has an incredible proc rate and is amazingly useful for a lot of situations.. I'll let you figure them out

Glorious claymore its the best, why? the G.claymore have slaugter 2 and 100%+ damage on demihuman but bellum its good too for deal great damage with crushing strike and sonic wave in PVP /gg
