I've a lot of KVMs to blow and I was thinking of playing a unique attacking performer for my next class. Maybe wanderer rather than maestro, as wanderer can use a shield with the whip. I'm wondering about the feasibility of using metallic sound and dominion impulse with the 95% demihuman weapons and the two 150% metallic sound amplifier accessories.

Please advise  :p_idea:

Metallic sound is an matk skill not atk so kvm weapons do nothing for it. Rosevine is the best dominion impulse/metallic sound weapon. Which isn't saying much.

So weapon matk boosts Metallic Sounds damage? I thought since the skill didnt require a weapon to cast, weapon matk or weapon cards did nothing to it.

Think of metallic sound as a non-elemental firebolt.

I was just confused cause the skill description says it doesnt require a weapon, so by that i figured it wouldnt take into account the matk and cards of weapon.

Fire Bolt doesn't require a weapon, either.

This arent answers. Its a simple yes/no question.

Cards that affect players like hydra or skel worker, and also cards that give matk or int like centipede larva.

Hydra and skel worker increase damage of physical attacks.

Metallic Sound is a magic spell. They do not improve its damage any more than they would improve thunderstorm or psychic wave.

As I have said before, metallic sound is a basic, vanilla spell. Tantamount to fire bolt, cold bolt, and lightning bolt. It is simple a multiple of your matk dealt as magic damage. If metallic sound had some weird unique crass, incorrent formula that ignored int from cards or matk for equipment but somehow still did magic damage, I would have said so, instead of telling you its basic like a firebolt and that cards that increased matk would make no sense if they didn't improve spells that are fueled by matk. It is safe to use some deductive reasoning here.

I Recommend spending a few minutes trying out a mage in game so you can understand the basic tenaments of magic using classes. A metallic sound performer functions the same.

Why is it so hard to say yes, weapon matk and matk cards do affect its damage.    We could have been over with this since yesterday...

I Dont know. Why is it so hard to read and use common sense? You might be able to answer that better than I can.

I Answered your question yesterday---
"KVM weapons do nothing" == +% demi human on them does nothing? What do you think is different about hydra? Nothing. This answered you yesterday physical +% race damage does nothing.
"rosevine is the best metallic sound weapon" == This weapon does NOTHING excpt adds matk and int. That tells you right there matk from gear works.

If you are this new I highly discourage you from playing a metallic sound oriented performer. it requires a heavy investment of zeny and resources to be viable.

Can't you keep it simple if he's asking for that?

http://irowiki.org/wiki/Metallic_Sound

What increases M.Sound damage: +matk from any gear (weapon upgrades give matk now), Sound Amplifier, cards that specifically say they increase magic damage, like Zakudam, Pinguicula, Ancient Tree, etc.

If a card or piece of gear says +X% damage to Demi-human it means only physical damage is increased. It has to specifically say +X% magic damage to Demi-humans for it to work with Metallic Sound (see Zakudam Card for example).

The kid isn't using common sense at all. The skill is purely magical, so skills that say increase your physical damage clearly don't work. And The skill is fueled by MATK so clearly cards that increase MATK work.

You CANNOT get much simpler than that.
