Aiming for PVM/MVP...

 

Wondering how much zeny I need to get in order to buy a decent gear to start MVP'ing....

What's your definition of decent gear? What MVPs do you want to hunt? DD or Crit gear? How much zenny are you willing to spend (gear can be anywhere from a few mil to billions...)?

I really dont know much about MVP nowadays... I want to do the most mvp as possible....

 

 

I want to be a crit sin and I have around 600m to spend...

Hm... With 600 or so you could get:

 

+7 Little Feather Hat (~75 mil) + Sharp Arrow (drop from raydric archers)

Mid and Lower whatever you can find

Sapha's Cloth with double crit enchants (~60 mil) + elemental cards (~20 mil for fire and wind, 4 mil for water)

Immune Nid Garb or HBP (100 or 200 mil, take note that hbp works best at +9)

Variants (~30 mil)

Rogue's Treasure (~100 mil)

The second accessory can be a ring from Mora.

 

The Nid path will cost ~385 mil, the HBP ~485 (note that that's for a +0 HBP and you really want it at +9). Check the market section, you may spend less, I went with ragial and what I've seen in Eden.

 

Leaves enough for a weapon. You could go for a Wild Beast Claw with sharp or fs enchants. If you got lots of Eden badges (400) you can get a kvm katar, at +9 they proc 193 aspd fairly often.

 

That setup will allow you to kill some low tier MVPs (soloing ET till Cenia should be doable). You can save some money if:

1. You enchant the Sapha's yourself (farm Mora Coins and OCAs for money)

2. You farm Nid for the garb

3. A big maybe since it depends on luck, if you upgrade stuff yourself (from the above you want a +9 HBP, those go for ~450 mil from what I've seen in Eden).

 

You'll also have money left over for supplies (Poison Bottles, whites, <element>proof pots, converters stuff like that). Once you have more money, you can look for better gear (triple crit Sapha's Cloth, Chakram+sin cuff combo, Bako tats, maybe triple crit Sapha Shoes/Improved Variants).

What does it actually do for GX? I've always equip one before for lols but I don't see or feel any difference...

Set bonus with Sharp Arrow:

• Further increases critical attack damage by another 5%.
• If Little Feather Hat is refined to +7 or higher:
  • Further increases critical attack damage by another 5%.

I don't have a precise number for you, but "decent" usually mean +9 or higher. +9 items are usually in the 200M-300M a piece except for rare items like a +9 FAW or a +9 HBP.

 

Some examples: A +9 RWH will run you roughly 200M, +9 Valk Armor with enchant will run you another 150M, +9 Nid 150-200M, +9 Sup Diabolus Shoes 150ish million, etc.
