There are just some minor things that I really think ought to be changed in regard to Shadow Chasers (and necessary changes to skill requirements). Here's my idea in a nutshell.
Give SC a universal weapon mastery skill, call it Brawling Master or something. Basically it would be a 5 level skill (or 10, whichever works best). Once you get this skill Shadow Chasers are able to equip any weapon that can be used by any other class. At level 1, the skill would get a 50% damage penalty, and at level 5 would allow for 100% of normal weapon damage.
Brawling Master would have a prerequisite of having level 10 intimidate, level 1 preserve, and level 10 sword mastery, level 10 Gank, and level 10 Mug.
Next, gaining level 5 Brawling Master would unlock a couple of new skills.
The first skill would build off of Backstab and could be called Cut Throat, or something like that. The way it would work is that the SC must be in the hide state to initiate the attack, or it can be chained immediately after Sightless Mind. Cut Throat would rely on STR as the main damage influencing stat and has a high chance to inflict bleeding. The VIT and current weight of the target affect the damage dealt. In the case of monsters it would be monster size, with large monsters receiving the most damage. I'm not good at percentages and stuff like that, but basically it should deal a pretty significant amount of damage based on the fact that it's single target. Oh, and unlike Backstab, it would not require you to be behind the target.
Another skill would be kind of like Sightless Mind. Call it Blackout or something. Anyway, it would be a very large AoE attack (read close to full screen), that when triggered, would put the Shadow Chaser in the Hide state and would inflict the blind status on all targets hit. This attack would not deal much damage, but would place a counter of sorts on the targets hit.
That would lead to the last new skill, Marked for Death (or something like that). While the SC is in the hide state from using Blackout, he would go around attacking the targets who have been marked. This skill would work in a way similar to Chain Lighting in that the SC would automatically jump from monster to monster, whichever one is closest and has a counter on it. The SC's STR and AGI stats would play HUGE roles in the amount of damage dealt. The higher the STR and AGI, the higher the damage, and it will pierce DEF to a certain degree depending on how much STR and AGI you have.
So there you have it. I think that this would be a great addition to the Shadow Chaser. I believe it would be balanced because in order to get these you would have to give up on pretty much all of the WoE specific skills. I think these skills could also make leveling a lot funner for SC rather than being a horrible drag. Sadly, I know nothing will ever come of it, but I figured I should put my ideas out there, just in case. Tell me what you guys think.
