Hiho again~

Yet another stupid proposal from me! That person who hasn't really been playing this game long enough to construct a decent frame of reference for her ideas!

I was wondering if, as the topic title suggests, we could somehow lower the amount of time Boss and Miniboss enemies spend in the idle state after completing an attack or ending the flinch state. I've been able to wail on them nigh endlessly, without said enemies getting a word in edgewise until they're forced into Fury.

Lord of Night is an especially stupid example, as I'm able to simply wipe the mobs around him, then pin him against the stage wall and press X a billion times until Fury knocks me away.

Of course, this only applies to bosses that flinch. The ones that don't are unable to be taken advantage of in this manner.

Spoiler

Case in point. I was able to pin Ratler against this wall and tap X constantly until fury state, then run around until the state ended, drag him back to the wall, and repeat until dead.

Spoiler

Or here, where I'm able to make Lord of Night flinch constantly and do nothing but press X, never having to dodge as the enemy is never able to fight back. Every single hit in that combo is against Lord of Night, attacking until I move past him, then turning around and continuing the attack (yes I know my attacks are weak as hell to combo that high lol).

I'm still interested to see what other people think!  :p_smile:

Bumpies. It's far too easy to hit-lock bosses and garner SSS ranks for yourself, especially in the early~mid game, and even without the OP event equipment.

you'll notice most bosses in this game don't have many skills aside from quest bosses like, lavalon, aram, ryvius, paris, bone dragon, vancliff, and elga whose battle styles will cripple most under geared players.

agreed, that most mini bosses/mission map bosses are easy, but this seems to be the intent of developers as much farming is done in these areas.

bosses later in the game have no problem slaughtering you.

I wonder if it'd be possible to make the difficulties of instances more distinct, with regards to boss behaviour. On Hard Mode, have them flinch less, attack more, and generally be more of a pain in the butt.

you may notice that when attacking mission map bosses to a certain percent of their hp, they buff themselves. this buff allows them to move much faster and attack more relentlessly for a short period of time.
