They think this is a solo game. Unfortunately, Renewal mechanics agree with them by default.

You can only party reliably with friends.

I'll think of some more shortly :v

Any MMORPG can be made into a solo game if the player chooses it to be that way. It seems the majority of players would rather play with friends than complete strangers. Why do you think that's so?

Any game will try to keep you poor. What remains then is whether you're willing to fight against that or not. What do you believe is keeping you back from being as rich as you can be?

Why do you think players don't know what they're doing?

The market price is high as hell. Eh, hell is the lowest place there is. As high as heaven then.

But if no one teaches these players what to do, how can one expect them to know what they're doing? To know, one must learn first.

Think not of what is unreachable, but what can be reached. Take things one step at a time, as trying to go over multiple steps will simply cause you to stumble back to where you started.

Honestly? For a MMO, this game is pretty damn easy. The server's been around so long that anything you could ever want is for sale. You don't have to work to get anything as a bot has already worked to provide it in vend.

Lay down a bit of cash at the outset and you've got your character geared and prepped with consumables till 150.

Pre-3rd leveling is almost laughably quick, TI makes it so a ton of players are in the mid-game with no discernible skill beyond what they learn during AoE-mobbing parties, and when outside of TI it's solo all the way, since nobody wants to share their precious EXP.

All of these things create horrible new players that have learned to rush towards the end-game and pay no attention to anything else on the way. If they can't instagib a mob 20x the size of the party, they rage and blame everyone but themselves. They hate non-optimal forms of leveling since cash is easy to shove into zeny, so no need to farm, and quests pay in pittance when compared to Gramps. When they finish their rush to 150, there's nothing to do, so they troll or join a WoE guild and log out for the rest of the week.

The only decent people you meet anymore are the vets you've always known, since they grew up with a different game, and most of them just afk.

That's why I don't like other players :D

What of the players that do not take the easy way out? Of those who venture outside the comforts of TIs and into the unforgiving wilds of Midgard? Why not reach out to them instead?

Go disguise yourself as a noob and ask some lv 150 people about lv 80++ monster locations like Injustice or Dark Priest. You will find the hilary.  :heh:

I do, but they're difficult to find. Many of these people don't tend to log at the same time as me either. Due to the nature of aimless exploration, their log times are quite erratic. They have no goal to compulsively grasp at, so they don't feel the need to log daily.

And for a great number of them, they just don't play RO anymore. They've moved to greener pastures and feel the same way I do.

The brightest of stars are few and far apart, that much is true. To shine your light brighter with those who share your sentiments is a dream that is now unreachable for many.

Perhaps it is time for you to explore other universes. And perhaps when you return, you may find someone worth partying with.

I read that as "take a break from RO".

I think expanding our horizons to other MMOs during the competition may have given us a bit of perspective, as to the mismanagement of the game we're currently playing.

Does anyone else feel this way?

As I've told iDaehyun, everyone needs a vacation once in a while; even from RO. When something no longer gives you the joy you once felt, separation may be best.

It is as the saying goes: "absence makes the heart grow fonder." But if you return to find that you cannot feel that joy again, perhaps it is not joy that kept you here, but the exhilaration of something new. All that is left is to find a way to bring that joy back or seek out something that will bring you greater joy.

I for one enjoy taking my time leveling all my characters, I only have 1 (yes you read right people) level 150 character, which I used to WOE and now I use to do all the other things 150s do, all my other alts I solo, as I play RO to relax (even though sometimes it makes me sooooooooooooooo angry but that's life) mainly because gramps TIs are a race and most people in it are jerks.  I met a lot of people in old TIs (and I used to party a lot back then too) and they used to be a lot more polite than they are now.

To AlmrOfAtlas: if you make a guild for people that like taking their time leveling their characters, I'd join instantly, I too don't understand the rush to 150. I do find it boring soloing after 100, so a guild with nice people to party with would be awesome.

To Facekiller: I think people ask for your help because you only play Ninja class and people assume (rightly so) you know a lot about the class and you always seem happy to help as far as I've seen in forums.

To ZeroTigress: I thought this was a sarcastic thread so I apologize for making wrong assumptions, sometimes I forget that there still are nice people in RO.

I'm sure I'll come back and complain about some jerk in game, until then, keep up the good work  :p_smile:

Am I that sarcastic that often here? :U I noticed an increasing number of people feeling frustrated so I created this thread to help them vent and let all that negativity out.

I guess I'll... try to sound less sarcastic?

I thought so too, but I see it more like a funny type of sarcasm. Sarcasm isn't always bad. :v

So... this thread is serious? All my posts here are jokes. ._.
