hello all

 

want to know which set up gives the most arrow shower damage for shadow chasers and dun want to waste money on too many +10 safe certs, so which one is better?

 

+12 orc archer bow with steel arrows

 

+12 catapult (double kingbird) with elemental arrows

 

 

also, does anybody know if malangdo enchants would ever come out for either weapon?

necro-bump :x.  I think you mean Arrow Storm not Arrow Shower?

 

I'm curious about this as well.  After plugging both into the calc it seems that while OAB gives more consistent damage, both do similar damage (~2 shotting scaraba's with arrow storm).  I'm more inclined to use the catapult because of freedom to use elemental arrows and to switch to moonie dagger for sp on cooldown (via firewall).

I don't play SC and I don't have these weapons, but I know the mechanics behind it and seeing as you haven't gotten a response in the last while...

It comes out to be pretty close between the two. At higher refines I am pretty sure the Catapult will be significantly better because it is a level 4 weapon. The flexibility to use different arrows is pretty nice as mentioned above as well.

Enchants do exist already for the Catapult but they are kind of expensive and maybe not worth it:

+12 on both weapons seems like a waste to me since they are only used for leveling, and do not offer a specific bonus per refinement (only weapon ATK is affected). In most situations I don't see the +12 making a difference over a +9 regarding one shotting or two shotting (or 2 vs 3) a mob.

Ah, that's true. Thought you were using it to regen SP only.

at +12, OAB will do about 20% more damage with endow vs +12 Double Kingbird Catapult. 

 

Only viable way for SC to use Arrow Storm effectively is to get Time Boots update.
