Here are some problems I am facing....

- Lack of zeny to gear up

- Slow levelling

- Little damage

 

At the moment I am an auto warg ranger, but I want to transfer into an arrow storm ranger only for quicker levelling. Can someone please throw in suggestions for State/Skill/Gear build for a poor ranger please?

 

This is my current build:

Hunt your gears. For starters, hunt gargoyles.

For gears, only White Wing Set and Elven bow + Elven arrow combo are needed (even +0 and uncard Elven bow is ok). You can Arrow storm 1 shot most if not all monsters in low/mid TI.

 

Although Warg build has low Int, if you can afford Rideword hat, you may not have to reset stat to pure arrow storm build.

Yeah gargoyles are for elven bow.
You also can use a hunter bow[1] +hunting arrows… if you really have no zeny go to payon and buy a hunting bow to the weapon sellee npc

Start doing Reno quests, all three of them, and just auto-attack the mobs or something. At the point you can afford to create a Enhanced Variant Shoes, after selling it for around 180m, you can buy a RWH (just +4 it) and +4 Nid Garb (+4 should be fine), and card both with Willow and Harpy for your SP problem for AS.

 

You will still be left with ~100m for your other gears to upgrade, like WW set and Elven Bows or better yet, a clean HBP for faster looting. Faster looting means more time to kill mobs, so HBP = more exp and monies!

 

After that, you can start farming at Low/Mid TI or Nogg Road 2. Also buy those +weight bonus item in Kafra Shop, its cheap and permanent anyways.

 

The low and mid from Reno quests, nets you at least 10m every item created in low, and at least 30m for every item created in mid.
