In TI, especially a moving one, it is really difficult to heal when you target someone that is out of spell range in your party window.  The game will try to move my priest towards the target, but then stops and doesn't heal...  So I end up having to guess where they are, and move closer before it'll heal.  If they are still moving, they'll get out of range again and it'll repeat like a vicious cycle.  Just a small hold up like this is enough for them to die most of the time.  It makes keeping a party healed really frustrating.

Even if I try to move with a party, there's always someone that's running off to the side, or running ahead of the group.  How do other priests deal with this?

If it's a puller, heal him/her once he gets back  to the party.

If it's someone who has no business being away from the party, let them die. Party > individuals imo. Not my fault they want to learn that the hard way.

The only exception to the above is if it's a straggler due to monster skills (for example, someone got webbed by porn spiders/scarabas). I usually KE them and try stay at the half point between the party and him/her. Also I usually tell in party chat to slow down/wait for us.

This happens to me a few times. It's obvious that you can't heal someone if they're at the other side, yet if you meet rude people, they'll just blame you for not paying attention.

For me, I try my best to stick close to wizards as they have low HP pool and are important in a party to ease killers with sg/ lov. Also, pay attention to those who tend to run off and come back with REALLY low HP. KE them whenever they come back and if they're out of range, just ignore them and focus on protecting the weaker classes (they should know their limit and will come back as soon they notice they have low HP)
