So, I've come back to RO and decided I'm going to delete all my characters and sell most of the gear.

 

I've sold almost all my stuff and keeping a few and this is what I have.

 

I have roughly 100mil and a Snake Head and Panties & undershirt and Shackle & bloodied Shackles. 

 

I'm looking for a class that's fun and entertaining, has decent AoE or has a reason for people to want them in groups.

 

An easy time solo would be a big bonus seeing as how I don't like to party often.

 

I really like Alchemist's but from what I see they're a pretty big pain in the ass to level up solo. 

 

If anyone know's a way to make an Alchemist and level him nice, fast and smoothy I would greatly appreciate the help with that.

 

I also play tanks in most other games I play, I just can't seem to find a decent tank build/guide out there or they seem pretty hard to start out.

 

So what should I make!?

solo wise/fun wise... kagerou... self healing, self tanking, self buffing, hard to hit with physical skills... the perfect solo class... throw builds can achieve good damage and have a 7x7 aoe... able to drop low tier MVPs solo... can kill in pvp (with the right skills)... PURE SOUL regens HP/SP cures cold slow, burning, blind, poison, curse and has a 50% chance to negate magic damage (both targeted and aoe)... and you can still use skills while pure soul is in effect... NO MORE POTS!!!!

The big AoE classes that come to mind are:

 

Hunters - Good Mix of beefiness and Damage.

Wizards - Very high damage but not really able to take too many hits. 

 

There are some other classes that have some AoE abilities

Blacksmiths - once they go mechanic, though like alchemists this can get expensive

Alchemists - Like blacksmiths alot of their attacks consume ammo that makes them kind of get expensive as a first character

Knights - They have bowling bash and when they go Rune Knight they get dragon breath. However like any melee tank character they will be more gear intensive than a lot of other classes. But due to their very high hp they will be more forgiving mistake wise than many other classes.

camp, wizard class is only "high damage" till 99..... and thats about it.....

geneticist has better damage than warlocks

As I understand it, Warlocks are supposed to be the very big AoE while other classes have a bunch smaller radius. No?

Yes. But then again Camp, at higher levels, a quick party wants ranger more than warlock in terms of AoE as ranger hits harder and faster... But still depends... it's just that's the usual thing on doing TI's at higher levels.

Mid TIs is the power spike for every class, thus even my SC looks good in there. Come to high TIs, you'll see how irrelevant Swirling Petal is, especially when they throw in mobs that have no elemental weakness. The 3 sec cast delay hurt the dps, so you have to combo it with KE, but the 3x3 AoE doesn't do any justice with the constant luring and moving in TIs. But K/Os are often treated as filler classes so, as long as you have enough rangers noone will mind your low dmg.

This topic was created on the first of April. If it is legitimate though, deleting your characters is a bit extreme, why not just make a new account? Or just create a character slot by deleting just one character and just not logging into the other characters?
