Is a Grand Cross Build still viable? I just recently rebirth my Crusader into a High Novice. As early as now I'd like to start allocating my stats for a build that will still be useful when I eventually change into a Royal Guard. I won't be able to afford a Stat Reset so the build I go with on the get-go will be my end build too. I need a little help with that.
If the GC Build is no good anymore I'm open to suggestions of other AOE Builds. Also, I'd appreciate tips on what stat to pump first and then next. (i.e. Pump VIT to XX then switch to pumping STR next etc.)

However, Grand Cross does also utilize INT. Overbrand / RG builds don't tend to get high INT except for better SP pool / regen. GC actually works fine with high STR and 1 INT though, or you can opt for low - medium INT (30-60).
Stat resetting at higher levels is also definitely an option.

Thank you again for all who responded. I've finally decided on going with the Agi Build route since a)I don't have enough capital to maintain a Vit Build and b)It makes taking down monsters faster.

Once you go into the mid TI you'll find that agi is useless so you'll have to reset to a vit build anyways. Also taking monsters down is faster via mobbing in the mid TI.

AOE / Tank builds actually take down monsters faster because you are grouping them up and using an AOE skill on all of them at once. Some people just don't realize this also applies to < 99 / third class characters as well (magnum break, grand cross, etc.).
